Mare Oyster Bar

What a gem of a restaurant. Really had a great time, we were late 30 min as we had a difficult time to find parking nearby however we were accomodated promptly even though there were many who were waiting. The service was great and the ambiance excellent. The main thing, the food!!! Every dish we had at the table was a wow!

Had an amazing dinner here. The staff was great, food was delicious, and drinks didn’t disappoint. Oysters and shrimp were expensive but they have a great assortment.

Outstanding , the Frosty oysters to the black ink squid pasta with clams, I loved it so much I went back the next night and had the bone in swordfish with roast potatoes- amazing! Adino at the bar was amazing ! Highly recommend

This was one of my favorite places to go whenever in Boston or in the north end but after my last experience, I will no longer be eating at this establishment due to poor treatment. When was checking in for a reservation I walked in as I was, checking in the person I was dining with was no longer able to make it on time so I was gonna dine alone and then I was told they would find me a table. As the gentleman went and seated, the people behind me that had no reservation, then took his sweet time to come back and chitchat with the lady at the reservation desk, and then she came and asked me if I was still. Waiting for someone like I didn’t already tell her that I will be dining alone then they give me excuse. Unfortunately I’m only one person I would have to wait until a seat at the bar is available so I just turned around and left. The treatment was very cold. I’ve dine. Here of times by myself never encountered this. They could’ve simply said. we can’t honor your reservation and I would’ve kindly left

Unfortunately, not impressed. The prices are expensive for taste and quality of the food. More specifically, I ordered the special of the day, .......the sole fish fillet. I wish the food was more flavorful with seasoning. On a positive note, the atmosphere is perfect for a date night out.

Everything seafood was just great. Great selection of vines, if you love your Italians.
Raw bar was superb, I skipped main dish entirely and ordered more instead. Oyster selection were way too good. I am not in the know with NA oysters, so market list and waiter tips helped with the decision. Ketchup cup in the oyster tray seemed kind of out of place, but it's probably me not knowing local ways.
My wife loved risotto.

Music was a bit too loud for my taste, thats probably the only complain I have.

Great service and the food was absolutely delicious! We had the Tagliatelle Con Aragosta and the Mare Lobster Roll. The pasta was perfectly cooked and had large chunks of lobster in it. The lobster roll was great too; perfectly seasoned and was full of lobster. It came with a side of crispy fries and a tiny glass bottle of ketchup. It was on the pricier side but each dish came with so much food that I think it's worth the price. The servers were super nice too; not too pushy but attentive.
