Colombian Steakhouse and Lounge

Read this review. I don't usually review but this is to save someone OR increase food safety.

Decided to go to the Colombian spot down the block instead of noches de Colombia in Woodbridge. Thought, "eh too far, let's keep it local".

First impression was fantastic: the stage, projector, televisions, decor. Top notch.
I got the breaded fish and fiance got the bandeja paisa. Classics. Let's go. Both what we order usually at noches.
Two filets on a plate come out. "wow yum". Sike. First filet was bland so I drenched it with lime and sauce. Not enough to send back. Let me tell you, wish I did!
Second filet, as I got towards the center was pink and mushy. Raw. Fiance said stop eating it. I would have continued because I was hungry. I'm glad that happened. Sent it back. Honest mistake. Lost my appetite after I realized what just happened.
Customer service was attempted. Partially hit the mark as they still charged me for the raw fish.

So after that I need to go to the bathroom to wash my hands because they reek of fish not in a good way. Suddenly, a man who worked there dressed in all black with button-up exits the stall and lightly wets his hands, whips them in the air to dry them and leaves. I'd had enough. Left in disbelief.

Perfect place for family and have great food and service. Hector was our waiter, he is so nice and friendly, also the birthday service is amazing!! We are coming back for sure! ❤️⭐️

The Bound Brook High School Spanish Club and Spanish Honor Society came to this restaurant on a trip and we loved it!!! The restaurant's atmosphere is amazing beautiful decorations and lots of space. The Service was also amazing our server quickly took our orders and was extremely nice to us. They had a big screen and a huge sound system ready for us. The food came quickly and it looked excellent. The food tasted really good! Thank you for allowing us to have this experience! P.S. perfect backgrounds for instagram pictures.

I ordered ceviche de Camarones and received a cocktail with over cooked tostones. The tostones seemed like they were sitting there for a while and then refried to make warm. The menus in the location are not updated. Waiter, the hostess and photographer were very nice. But I will not be coming back again.

We came here for Valentine’s Day. The place is decorated very nicely. The music was excellent (just a little loud). Normally when you have a meal, you sit and talk at the table. You cannot do that in this business.

Service: My server was nice however he spend most of his time talking to the bartenders. Drinks came out in 10 mins or so. Food took 45-1 hr. We thought they were making the food fresh, however when we received the plates the plates were ice cold and the food was room temp.

Food: The rice was over cooked. Both entrees needed seasoning. The food was served room temperature. I also ordered 6 empanadas to go. The empanadas were cold, no sauce in the bag, and when you bit into them all you can taste is grease.

Restaurant is nicely decorated and big, spacious seating. Friendly service and great meal options to pick from. Photographer walks around then sells you framed pictures.

Stopped by this restaurant for lunch with a party of 9. Service was quick and thorough. The food was excellent. No one had any complaints about anything they ordered. It was fresh and flavorful. The bathrooms were clean. The restaurant was clean and open, had beautiful decor and great ambiance. Will definitely come back.
