The front gate security is aggressive. It would helpful if they were nice. It’s a garden not a prison. She demanded to know why I was there and why I was alone. She wanted to search my car. I said no. She said she would keep her eye on me and not to touch anything or she would call the police. Very weird. This place is free. If you want to treat people like garbage charge them money. This is also a sewage plant so it smells.
A beautiful place with a lot of trees, bushes, flowers, birds, ducks and fish. You can enjoy nature and plunge into the beauty of the Japanese garden. I recommend visiting with children, but without dogs. The entrance is free.
It’s a lovely little garden. I guess I didn’t realize prior to coming how little it is. That’s probably my bad. Had I tempered my expectations and known it was a half hour stroll, it would have been a 5 star visit. But since it took an hour to drive here for a half hour walk… well it seems a little less worthy. Still lovely- especially if you are in the area.
We loved this place. It was beautiful and peaceful. Very serene. Nice place for a date. Makes you forget you're in LA.
It was my first time visiting this place and I was a bit disappointed as I was not able to see all of the garden. Part of the garden was closed to the public as they were working or giving maintenance to it. But the part I was able to see looked nice. I love nature, so I couldn't miss a chance to visit this place. Will visit again on a future day and hopefully the whole garden will be accessible to the public by then.
