Very kind staff! I hope to meet them all again one day!
Called them, they are rude. A lady picked up the call on the English channel. She didn’t even allow me to talk over phone because I am from CA. I just wanted to know generally about e-Visa but they didn’t even want to listen. Sigh. Bad people.

Security is super friendly, Visa staff are terribly rude, walking away mid sentence because they don't care to listen, refusing to explain any requirements, deeply uncaring and looks down upon applicants

As expected for Japanese, very pleasant to deal with. Call at least a day ahead to set a parking appointment because there's no public parking to speak of nearby.

I love the Japanese people first of all. I have lived in Japan for almost 10 years, my two oldest were born there. At the Embassy the ladies were so wonderful very polite as usual, fast and efficient. Thank you for everything. ALIGATO❤️

Giving a 3 star just because I'm almost certain the rest of the embassy is much more professional but the woman who answers the telephone to answer questions in English is extremely rude. She told me to simply "refer to the website" before I was even done asking my question and hung up abruptly.

Visa lady was nice and understanding. My Certificate of Eligibility didn’t come with the visa application paper in it so I was lost on what to do since I thought my packet had everything I needed. She told me I could drop off my application later today with no issues and she did just that. ありがとうございます😊

The visa lady is a bit rude. I participated in a Japan trek organized by my school, and I showed her the letter from my school including the goal of the trek, the hotels information, the fees for the trek and participants information. The organizer of my school said the payment information and the hotels were included in the letter, so I didn't need to provide my bank statements. However, she's impatient and she even didn't look at the letter I gave her. She asked where's my bank statement? Where's hotels confirmation? She said I missed documents and I should come again. Then I asked her could you please first look at all the documents I gave you, especially the letter from my school? Then she began to look at the letter but she said I still missed some documents. In my eyes, she's rude. What she said was different from what the organizer of my school said, but the organizer told me he contacted the embassy of Japan before and had got permission of the embassy of Japan.
