Quiet little club, nice food

This street in our way to Bowling club was just amazing. All around this club is fully coloured with autumn esence... Nice first impression before enjoy dinner at this club, great dinner!!!

Night & was lucky enough to win a Prawn Plate! Absolutely delicious & so many Prawns. Our meals were of the usual high quality too. A big Thank You to the Club.

Attn: Club Committee. My wife and I picked up on your email advert for Mel Cup Lunch. Booked ourselves, plus four non-member guests. Bar staff were fine. All good till lunch turned up on "bits of Cardboard"!!! Just awful!!
Nil reason given. Nil apologies - Nil comment from waiters!! How could you do this on Mel Cup Day of all days??!!! -- even if you maybe doing repairs out the back!! Very unimpressed guests, and highly embarrassing for us!!
Then, to top it all off, I paid $5 for a horse in the sweep, and was sold a dud. The horse had previously been scratched!!! The person conducting the sweep point blank, refused to either return my money, nor give me another horse -- and gave me heated cheek about it, in front of a queue of people!!! Real bad!!! Legal??
Our guests, who were also locals, just couldn't believe the attitude with the sweep, and luncheon presentation. Unfortunately I'm forced to put this complaint out publicly because your website does not provide an email address for privacy.

Disgraceful. I went there alone, for a quick lunch. Ordered a burger. 40 minutes later, I got my food. (After the ladies team were all served theirs, even though i was there before them) Served with no greeting, no smile and certainly no apology.
Would it be too hard for someone to say "there's a 40 minute wait for food "?
I felt unwelcome. I will never return.

Held my father's wake at the Bowling Club in July, just wanted to thank Izzy and Tony for their help. Nothing was an issue and they both extremely helpful. To the kitchen staff, the food platters were generous in size, value for money and most of all tasted great. Thank you for making a sad day a memorable ending.

This is a no frills bowlo, not very big but very friendly and the food is above average for a club bistro. I had rissoles, mash and beans with onion gravy... very yummy! Wheelchair access.
