We loved walking here but there are no trash cans even at the parking areas to throw away poop bags. With all of the be bridge construction, adding in trash cans at least at parking areas would be very helpful.
Nathaniel Green Trail is a simple out and back trail, but one that leads to multiple side trails. Not many views, but if you're looking for a quick 6 mile out and back, this will work. If it has rained at any point in the week, expect it to be muddy in most places, but it is not overly sloppy everywhere.
This is a well marked trail around Lake Brandt. The hike was sometimes muddy and over many tree roots. Interesting views of the lake and bikes are not allowed on the Nathaniel Greene Trail. There were some trees worked on by a beaver.
