Cress on Oak Creek

We were very impressed at this place. So welcoming, relaxing and food was great! The cost was worth it to me, I wish I could eat everything because I liked all I've tasted but I got full and didn't get to try the other food my friends were enjoying with. The service was great plus there was a live music. The view was dreamy and I wish I can come back to this place.

We are tourists and walked in at lunch on a Sunday when we didn't know it was buffet but we did try anyway & not regret because the food and drinks tasted so good. The service was great and the location was very nice. The cost was worth it. I would recommend this and hoping to stay in this place and eat again if we get to go back.

We found Cress on Oak Creek to be one of our best dining experiences in Sedona.

We opted for the 3 course Chef's tasting menu and we were not disappointed.

I saw that some people are complaining about the pacing, but in my experience fine dining is always a lengthy, leisurely experience. Is that not part of the point?

The service was attentive and we appreciated it.

Also, for a tasting menu the portions were ENORMOUS.

The mushroom soup was divine. Every bite of everything was carefully crafted and delicious.

It was extremely pricy, but I felt that we got the experience we paid for- excellent quality food, quality service, and a lovely atmosphere.

My wife and I decided to head up to Sedona to celebrate our 12-Year anniversary. We had previously tried to take an anniversary trip to Sedona several years ago when my wife was newly pregnant with our first kid, but she spent most of the time feeling nauseous in our hotel room.

This time, we decided to make up for what we missed last time and we wanted something really special and romantic for our celebratory anniversary dinner. We chose Cress on Oak Creek and it was a great choice.

Everything from the picturesque drive down the hill to the valet reception area at the front door, to the perfect mood-lighting, the sounds of Oak Creek rushing by, the locally bottled water, and the very friendly, respectful, and professional staff, all made our dining experience fantastic.

Our server was very polite and attentive, the food was amazing. Cooked exactly as I requested. We even received a welcome visit from the restaurant manager Darva Fields. He, and his staff certainly made our anniversary dinner one for the memory books.

We were so impressed with our experience that we even returned the next day to enjoy a nice lunch on the outside patio after taking in one of the many hiking trails that Sedona is famous for.

This restaurant deserves more stars! Every dish was carefully curated. Expect Michelin flavors and portions. The setting was truly unique. I felt like I was dining in a fairy tale. Service was attentive and polite. I can’t wait to go back during the day time.

As other local guides have said, this is a very nice cozy, and romantic place especially if outdoors. The food is average. We ordered mocktails too which were underwhelming and not photo-worthy.

Service is good from what we ordered our kids liked the Potato Gnocchi with beef and veal.
The complimentary cheese was nice, Kale Salad was okay.
Russet Potato - chewy
Crispy Chickpea Panisse & Tomato Coulis - Fried chickpea balls that were tasteless
Mesquite Honey Glazed Root Vegetables - Lacked flavor
Grilled Cheese - When asked about the food, our 6-year-old told the server it was very greasy

Overall we were not happy with the experience and the price we paid. There are many other excellent restaurants around.
