Heritage Tavern

Excellent farm to table brunch. Highly recommended. Service is great, food is super fresh and flavorful, prepared well and put together perfectly… really enjoyed brunch today.

beautiful place to have dinner. I went here for prom and the staff was lovely, very kind and i received lots of compliments on my dress. my food was delicious and perfectly cooked. my mock tails were perfectly bitter and sweet (i got a peach one). I especially loved the small details and decorations, you can find a small fox in the picture below. overall a 10/10 experience.

Had a great time at the heritage tavern. It was a busy night but had no problem grabbing some seats at the bar. The bear, wine, alcohol list is impressive and i got a great sour beer. the bartender team of guys was chatty and knowledgeable and all around great people to talk to. The food didn't disappoint and everything was tasty. Absolutely get the cheese curds its a nice display.

Came in on a Saturday night and it was packed, but made a reservation same day with no issue. We were celebrating and got complimentary glasses of cava. The menu rotates a lot, but we split one small dish, one side, and one big dish and it was plenty. Great service and atmosphere in the restaurant.

Overall super enjoyable experience for my partner and I! Top rated on everything! The staff was very friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. Our server Florence was the best, like talking with an old friend. Whoever was on expo as well, sorry we missed your name, but thank you for your care with our whitefish crab cake! We'll definitely be returning next time we're in Madison. Thank you!

I absolutely love the restaurant!❤️ every meal I’ve had has been spectacular. Anyone I take there loves it. Such unique and creative ways to highlight meat. Try the assortment of deviled eggs… I heard it through the grapevine some new versions will also be coming soon! I’d go back simply for the eggs. Heritage doesn’t disappoint!

BRUNCH REVIEW: at Heritage Tavern located in Madison!

Food: We ordered the Old Fashioned Ham cinnamon roll - so great- we split between 4 people but I easily could eat it myself :). Next we ordered their Heritage Burger. It was cooked great and recommend to have it done medium. Next order was the Maple Lamb Sausage and Savory French Toast. The maple lamb sausage was absolutely amazing and I would try it again. Finally we had the Steak And Eggs. The fried poached egg was very unique and tasty. It’s certainly how I want to have my poached eggs cooked going forward.

Food Opinion: 1) The savory French toast wasn’t personally for me. I think it’s something worth trying and seek your own opinion.
2) The steak I had was really rough unfortunately but not sure if it was just that day. We had another person order the same entree and their steak was rough as well.

Certainly try:
* cinnamon roll
* maple lamb sausage
* heritage burger
* fried poached eggs

We’ll certainly come back again for sure as there were other amazing items!
