How on earth is this place a 'library '? I've been here 5 times and every time I've had to leave due to it feeling like a social club and not being able to hear myself think. Am I missing something or isn't a library somewhere to read books ? Study in relative quiet ? Not after a pin drop type quiet but this place is disgraceful.
Really poor design with it being open plan and so small with no quiet study spaces. The children's nursery sessions just drown out the whole library with screaming kids and singing. There are people in there with no intention of learning /reading or anything constructive ,just shouting their mouths having a social and distracting everyone.
The wi fi is shocking and doesn't connect properly ,I was told to just use my 5G ?
Where are you supposed to study in peace with there being no separate areas for doing so ? This is a nice modern library but done on the cheap to cram in every kind of community activity and group imaginable.
If you want a place to focus and study, best sitting in Costa coffee, much quieter and more reliable Wi Fi.

Kind and helpful staff, always clean and tidy. Lots of other services and things they can help you with.

Newly refurbished children's area is great, with a sensory light area and puzzles! Only downside I find is all the children's chairs are very hard, which may be due to softer furnishings being harder to keep clean.

❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 We went to see the renovated children's area! But it looked very messy when we went there today. The chairs, the stools and the 2 sofas were all over the place. The books on the shelves and in the bookcases were also not tidy. And looked very empty. I wish people were more respectful.
It's nice though that the area is tucked away at the back. Love the colourful children's chairs and the sensory nook.

Really friendly and helpful library staff. Library really well laid out and organised. My little one is excited to complete the summer challenge and loved visiting the library and checking out books. They made it a really special experience for her. If I could rate more stars I would.

The staff very understanding and helpful they found the books that I wanted instead of me wandering around aimlessly. So pleased the library is now open, missed going in and talking to the staff.

These morons wasted my time. All I wanted to do was write and print a CV, and I was almost finished when the computer said in 60 seconds it was going to log off. I saved to the computer and then re logged in and tried to finish it and then I couldn't access the CV. I asked the person at the desk and she said computers there delete files saved on them, so it's best to save it on a memory stick. None of them told me about this when I was signing up for the library membership or when I asked what my card number was. Had they told me, I could have probably emailed the CV to myself and got it back. If you have to go to a library to print stuff, unless you have no choice go somewhere else.
