Consulate General of El Salvador in New York

My request is complex, and they are making extra efforts to help me.

Found a Salvadoran passport so called up consulate and was put on hold till someone spoke English.only concern is if you are going to work in USA more bilingual people .

I was there to accompany my fiance. The representative that was assisting us provided simple instruction and then walks away and avoids following up. It was a big office with 4 reps there and only 3 clients waiting for assistance. They had us sitting there for an hour. All we needed was to get a document translated. We went a day before and we were suppose to pick up paperwork but it didn't happen. The office was under construction and the parts that seem to be complete was poorly done. There were wires hanging from 1 cubicle to the other.

The workers are nice and respectful but you can tell they’re working with a very limited budget. Sometimes the digital payments don’t work and it can be chaotic to figure out where you need to go in such a small space. At least the workers are patient and pleasant.

New location in the ❤ of midtown!! Service definately has improve from past years! Finally have a place that works for our citizens here! Always continuing on the up and up! Our motto is A Salir Adelente!

I had an amazing experience here! I registered my marriage and also got my passport all with the same appointment and in less than one hour, the premises were very clean and everyone had a seat, very different from the location at Brentwood, the costumer service was outstanding, very friendly and respectful staff ! Thank you so much for such a quick and efficient service

The waiting room can be better. Staff has nice, beautiful, decorated offices while the waiting room looks terrible!. Service has to get better. Horrible coordination at the entrance, while patrons wait. You can do better-- El Salvador is a gorgeous country, serve it properly!!!!!
