Magic Sushi Panet

Magic sushi was my family and I’s go to sushi place in the city for years now. We always loved their food eve after they removed their AYCE - they promised a better quality food. However, it was disappointing how that quality and service has declined. My family and I was there last night and we ordered some salads, soup, tempura, and rolls. The soups took 20 min to arrive, the rolls doesn’t seem as fresh as before, their tempura has lost its quality for the price you paid for, and lastly, the salad took more than an hour to arrive (which is disappointing because their sunomono salad was one of our go to order) - we were expecting the salad to arrive first or together with the rolls and even after following it up, it still took a good amount of time before arriving. The salad was very watery. Overall, the visit last night wasn’t the best and not sure if we’d go back.

I understand that the restaurant is in the burger week, but If they can't provide a menu service other than hamburgers they shouldn't offer it. We went to celebrate my birthday at the restaurant and it was not full. we placed the order and they served us half the order, the entree never arrived and it was a total disappointment. The kitchen staff were many and they could not attend to the complete order.

Visited Magic Sushi for the first time for dinner. Ordered takeout for 1 and it was almost $60.I was quite taken aback. I’ve never spent this much on sushi for one person. It was alright, but not worth $60 lol. Underwhelming, probably won’t be back. Staff was very nice, and nice dining room too.

Convenient menu, good prices and friendly staff. Sushi is prepared according to the price.

With as many reviews and such a high rating, I was actually disappointed.
The good, the restaurant was open late, the staff greeted and acknowledged us upon entry to the restaurant. The staff were easy to distinguish between customers by uniforms and the restaurant was clean.

The not so good, the restaurant was not busy, and they were just not with it. We sat for 10 minutes before being given menus. The cost is not relevant to the quality or quantity of food given. The rolls seems really small/skinny on the filling and sauces were very small amounts on each piece.

Overall just kinda expected better.

Will not be returning.

P.S please update your sign about no longer offering all you can eat.(new to the area) pulled into the parking lot and noticed the "all you can eat" (got excited about sampling all different options) on the sign only to be told by staff that they have not offered all you can eat since covid.

Was disappointed with the tempura and takoyaki we ordered. Not the usual texture and taste that it should. Otherwise, their sushis were ok.

I participated in the le burger week! With one burger like last year! The burger was a shrimp with panko crumbs and a jalapeno coleslaw. Very meaty and tasty shrimp. They did not skimp on the shrimp in the burger. The taste had some kick with the balance from the coleslaw. It was well balanced with the teriyaki and mayo and the bun was very fresh that it was served on.

I ordered both the burger and Takoyaki which was hot and fresh.

I love sushi from this establishment. It's always so yummy and rewarding.
