Anchor Church Sydney

I joined anchor around 4 years ago. It has proved to be a welcoming, faithful community of believers who strive to BE the church in their everyday. I have grown and learnt so much in my time here, love the Gospel Community groups and am empowered for outreach. Come visit!

I love Anchor church and have been apart of it since the start. Its an amazing community of everyday missionaries seeking to grow in maturity and share the truth of the gospel of jesus with all those in sydney and the world. I personally have grown so much through the bible centred preaching, the truth filled and passionate praise and the loving community. Its a church family for every age group no matter what your background.

Anchor is a wonderful gospel-centred church with a passion for sharing Jesus with the wider Sydney community whilst cultivating meaningful Christ-like relationships within the church community. The leadership teams are excellent and newcomers are always joyfully welcomed and made to feel at home!

My wife and I started attending Anchor church in January 2017. We love being apart of this family, we love that they teach the bible so well and create a real and authentic service each week. We love that they want to see every believer equiped with gospel to see the city of Sydney transformed by Jesus.

I joined Anchor's launch team in Jan 2014 after hearing the lead pastor, Matt, share Anchor's vision to see our city transformed by making disciples of Jesus to the glory of God. I knew straight away that God was calling me to this church! It's been an amazing 4 years where God has done more than I could have ever imagined. I love our focus on the gospel, thorough biblical teaching, emphasis on prayer, and heart for authentic community and mission.

I know some people have been burnt by religious institutions but this place is worth a try. The community is real and authentic and the leadership is transparent and visionary. Sunday services are inspiring, challenging and thoughtfully done. Worth coming, even if church isn't your thing, just to get to know a few people!

My wife and I started attending just prior to Easter. We have loved being apart of this community. There is a real sense of humility, love and care from the leadership that filters down through the entire congregation. The teaching does not tippy toe around issues but delivers truth in a loving way that makes you think about and reflect about your personal world view. A great church!
