Since a corporation bought Pizza by Robert out, we have tried them on 3 occasions. All 3 pizzas have been extremely subpar and this last one was just plain nasty. Underdone, greasy and soggy. Crust is simply not the same. Didn't sit well in my family's stomachs! Clearly far from the Pizza by Robert high standard of quality that both Robert and Cathy built and maintained.
It's really sad they are destroying one of the best Westside Pizza Shops!
Equally as sad is that we will never be eating there again....We miss you Robert, Cathy and your Pizza!

Business was sold per employees. Employee said the new owners kept the pizza the same. Ordered pizza well done. Pizza wasn't cooked. Your could see individual pieces of cheese on the pizza from not being cooked. Crust is not the same. No flavor. Will not go back😢 I am sad bc this was one of my favorite pizza places. Didn't like the original owner but the pizza was great. 😔
Every Friday (as well as some other nights) are crazy busy at this wonderful pizza shop. Everyone who works there are so pleasant no matter how busy it is. The young lady (Amy) who handles an insanely busy phone is efficient, pleasant & if needed patient! I own a small family business and know hard workers when I encounter them. All of this on top of the fact that they have some of the best (if not the best) pizza in the area and pricing is reasonable.....ENJOY your pizza!
I had never eaten here before. Called to place an order. Was on hold for 5 minutes, which surprised me. Someone picked up but immediately put me back on hold. I just hung up.
I worked at pizza shops for 8 years. We had to answer the phone by the 3rd ring, at very least to ask them to hold then get back to them as soon as we finished the current call. I was AMAZED I had to wait even 5 minutes, let alone at 4:30pm on a Sunday. First and last time I'm ever calling. There are a dozen pizza shops along Detroit. If you're not interested in my business, I'll happily give it to someone else.

This pizza is phenomenal! Had the deep dish, soooooooo good! Reminds me of some of my Chicago faves. Highly recommend!
Ordered takeout for my first time trying Pizza by Robert. As a new to town South Floridian, I’ve had my share of pizzas back home and this one blows any of those out of the water. The crust is a combination of crispy and soft that you’ll just have to try it to believe! The pizza toppings are fresh and plenty and I feel it was a good value for the money. Both times ordered had a friendly person on the other end of the phone to help with the order. So far my new favorite pizza place!
