Silver Light Tavern

I spent hours trying to research the perfect place for our 40 person engagement party in Williamsburg/Greenpoint, and I was faced with high minimums, room rental fees, prepaid open bars, and spaces that didn’t fit what we were looking for: a laid-back yet special private space, that didn’t involve paying thousands of dollars out of our own pocket. THANKFULLY, I found Silver Light Tavern in my search, which fit all of our needs and then some.

I had been to SLT before for drinks/brunch, but had never seen their amazing private back room, which includes its own private bar and bartender. From planning to the day-of, the owner, Mike, was friendly, attentive, caring, and professional. On the day, it was clear that Mike and team were there to help however they could, and made the day feel special and fun with no stress. Mike made our event feel so special and personalized, from allowing us to put on our own music, to printing custom menus, to including tea-candles throughout the room for the perfect *vibe*. All without an extra charge, which is seemingly a rarity for private events in the area. On top of all of this, the space is comfortable (room to stand or sit, blasting A/C, easily accessible bathrooms) and cute (exposed brick, hanging plants, disco ball, gorgeous bar.)

Overall, I cannot speak highly enough about SLT. You can tell that everyone at SLT is a close-knit group that cares about their bar and their customers - all stemming from Mike's attitude. This is THE place to host an event in the area, and I can’t wait to have something else to celebrate so I can come again. THANK YOU MIKE AND TEAM!

Highlights: Disco ball, flexible pricing/individual tabs, strong A/C, great natural lighting, water station, custom menus, private bartender and bar back, owner on site during event, ability to put on your own music, tea-candles, chicken fingers, space for standing/mingling as well as tables/chairs to sit and have smaller conversations

Incredible food, staff and drinks. Best deviled eggs i’ve ever had. Definitely going back!. Super recommended.

Loved the cocktails and the vibe of this place! We only popped in for drinks, but their cocktail selection was fantastic. Good amount to choose from, lots of different options. The holiday decorations were so cute and tasteful. It’s a great spot for a date since the music isn’t too loud, you can enjoy a fun bar and still chat comfortably.

Me, along with about 40 colleagues had an excellent time at Silver Light Tavern during our recent company in-person offsite. We went to SLT our first night for our reception and dinner.

Shout out to my team for choosing SLT and giving us the option of ordering off the menu - I recommend the lobster roll!

Also, the SLT put together a great cocktail list and even came up with a special cocktail 'just for us'

Had a blast. Will definitely go back next time I'm in Williamsburg!

The vegetarian options are surprisingly very good! The cauliflower sloppy joe was a hit and they also had a beyond burger. The grilled cheese came with corn chowder which was unexpected and they keep menu items in rotation to stay seasonal. Great outdoor space.

I walked to this location from my hotel, a bit north west in Brooklyn, but it was a wonderful walk, and when I arrived, the staff were super friendly. Really enjoyed the bartender from “north of Manchester” and had a real good vibe about him. Their beer list or taps is not as strong as others in the area but you really don’t need that. The barbecue salmon on a rice pilaf was simply stellar and super hot. Will return again.

Pleasantly surprised to have stumbled on this spot on the way to a concert. My dining guest and I loved the tavern burger! The bartender was super friendly and on point with drinks. Super laid back vibes too. Definitely recommended.
