Great place to visit to learn about the 660+ years of Ottoman history. Try to buy the tickets online to avoid the line. Try to come early in the morning to avoid the rush. You’ll need between 3-4 hours to go through the different palaces and the buildings. Tuesdays are the busiest.

Interesting exhibition, peaceful gardens with a great view of the city and the Bosporus. Cheap tickets with free audio guides, available stands to buy drinks inside. Additional fee to visit the harem. Suitable for a family visit, one of Istanbul's richest cultural monuments, not to miss. A thorough visit takes a whole afternoon, easily accessible as it is in the town's epicenter.

Great musuem, would highly recommend the tour of the palace as it only takes about an hour and you learn a lot of history. The tour I went on didn't go into each individual museum of the palace but gave us a history around the palace itself and how life was like there. Great collection of artefacts in the various museums

Awesome please, but a lot of tourists. Recommend to go in the early morning. The entrance was 750TL + 200TL visiting harem. I enjoyed free audio guides, they assisted on the way and helped to understand the history.

Huge palace, prepare at least half a day to finish touring it. The place is pretty and well maintained, but very crowded.

It's a pity that the exhibitions did not have much information provided so you will appreciate it much better with a guide.

It was a really fascinating insight into the lives of the former Sultan rulers of the Ottoman Empire. There is a lot here, and with the buildings being built around 4 courtyards, it makes for a long visit. I'd recommend putting a good 3 hours aside for you to be able to absorb the very many rooms.
