Beautiful place!
The ride is fast, but it is intended to aid the climb.
The train is very clean and smooth.

First funicular experience. Wild to imagine how people would've gotten themselves let alone their belongings up such an incline, during such a time of minimal technological advancement compared to what we see today. Enjoy the ride!! Don't be afraid of the stairs tho ;)

What a beautiful spot in the city to visit if you are close to downtown. 100% worth the trip if you aren't.

Great bridge and great architecture. There's just a lot of garbage everywhere which is why I only gave it a 4 star rating instead of a 5 star rating

The Funicular has been on my wish list for many years. The only drawback is that there is no parking available nearby, that can give you easy access to this place. Finally I was able to park my car on a road opposite the Funicular, but I was extremely unlucky to get a parking ticket , although there was no parking machine near it. The Funicular is totally free but the parking ticket was $50/- on a weekend evening .This was the only disappointing aspect of my visit. The Funicular is a totally unique structure that gives you a spectacular view of Edmontons"s North Saskatchewan River and it's surrounding areas. This view is from the down town area of Edmonton. The Funicular is a huge, out doors escalator made of solid glass and steel. It stops on an area that gives you a wonderful view of the North Saskatchewan River, the boat jetty which ferry's tourists on the river during summer and view of a bridge. The city of Edmonton has taken a lot of effort in making the place beautiful and colorful with flowers and seating areas. The construction of the Funicular is great for the cyclists and hikers who love the areas in and around the north Saskatchewan River. The fall weather gave the area a picture postcard look. It was really beautiful and peaceful. I would surely recommend this place.

It’s a pedestrian 🚶🏻 bridge over the Grierson hill road to get over to the lookout point. It’s nice, it’s made of steel and cement and wood.
