I think now it is under renovation however it is still open to the public . One of the most beautiful places in Calgary. I would recommend visiting the place in the evening to enjoy the vibe of Calgary city. The bridge is decorated with lights which is giving a mind blowing scene in the dark . No entry fees and easily accessible from Calgary city. Good place to spend time with friends, Family and Kids.

Piece bridge and princes island are a beautiful area. I visited to occupy my time while visiting from the states. I walked the parkway along the river and was welcomed by the beautiful scenery and squirrels. I'd definitely go back. It's a good place to decompress and enjoy a beautiful sunset.

The past year of construction (lanes closed causing insane rush hour traffic, bridge being totally closed random nights entirely, etc) should have been outsourced to Chinese workers. It would have been finished in a month tops as opposed to what these useless union protected “workers” just spent the last 13 months doing.

Pedestrian Bridge with an interesting construction. At night nicely illuminated. To get a good view of the bridge climb up the wooden stairs to the Crescent heights.

After a long walk there, I found that the bridge was currently under refurbishment (Aug 2023). So it’s not beautiful at all. You may find railings on two side which blocks the scenery. You can still read the history and details of structure on the plates. They are explained in details. A lot of people at weekend. Many of them played electrical sccoters and bikes there.

Iconic Bridge over Bow River. They are doing some renovations on it currently but it's still popular for commuters and locals. I also love all the flowers on the south side of the river. So inviting. Definitely a nice place to explore, or even get into the river as many did!

This bridge is the bane of my existence. It’s constantly under construction or it’s closed. The bike lanes are the size of the road for cars. It’s just not a good set up. I hope they get it sorted soon. It’s quite the detour to take portage bridge.

Cool looking structure from the outside. However, at the time of our visit, the interior was under construction, so it was a bit of an eye sore. Definitely worth a stop to walk around and wander a bit soaking in the nice views around.

Construction is underway, beautiful place at downtown of Calgary. Great destination and design. Must watch, do not miss while visiting Calgary.

The Peace Bridge in Calgary is a well-known pedestrian bridge that spans the Bow River. It was designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava and opened to the public in 2012. The bridge's unique design, with its sleek white structure and red accents, has made it an iconic landmark in the city. It serves as an important link for pedestrians and cyclists, connecting the downtown core with the neighborhood of Sunnyside. The Peace Bridge offers beautiful views of the river and surrounding scenery and has become a popular spot for leisurely walks and photography.

There are paths underneath the bridge on both ends which are bicycle accessible. Some people also do some fishing there. Parking is available on the south side. There are built in seats on the bridge to just relax.
The traffic is ridiculous with the construction. My commute between home and work webt from about 20 minutes to 1h30.
Great spot to do your evening walk.

The bridge and Scenery is beautiful!
However this bridge is a worst connecting point due to heavy congestion.

Only in Gatineau one when driving from west or north west part of gatineau, have to drive east to get to Champlain bridge and then back on parkway to get to ottawa west. What a waste of time and gas.

It is about time that Gatineau and NCC consider a 6th bridge - opening toward Moodie drive. When this is done- it will substantially reduce congestion on Champlain bridge.

Residents of all of Aylmer, Chelsea, Plateau etc….. they all currently have to drive all the way to east till Champlain bridge and then sit on the bridge congestion and then drive again backward on parkway and then finally get to Ottawa west.

If the 6th bridge can be opened then it will also bring a lot of traffic from Ottawa west to gatineau, this leading to an expansion of nature and business ( $$$$ spending) activities in Gatineau.

If someone start the petition- i will support and am sure many residents will.

Population of gatineau keeps growing with many purchasing or renting realty, however no changes have been made to existing infrastructure. I wonder for how many more years we handle clogs………

The Plaza Bridge in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, is an automotive and pedestrian bridge that crosses the Rideau Canal just south of the Ottawa locks. It joins Wellington Street and Elgin Street in the Downtown core to the west with Rideau Street to the east.

My wife's favorite bridge in edmonton. Light traffic and flatter approaches than most of our bridges in edmonton. Bridge conditions were springlike in February. Rare but appreciated this year.

Convenient bridge to cut across the road to get to the waterfront. Great views of Lake Ontario.

Bridge is close to historical sites and attractions like the Garden of Greek Gods (limited time), the rose 🌹 garden, FORT ROUILLÉ, Scadding Cabin and the first wind turbine in North America. It’s a great spot to spend a few hours learning some history about the area and enjoying the waterfront

Thank you bridge for linking Laval to Montreal. And giving us a beautiful view of the river. Wow

유네스코 세계유산인 리도운하를 현재까지 잘 사용하고 있다는 점이 경이롭게 느껴진다.
정말 환상적으로 대단한 일이고, 모두가 본받을 일이다.
Ottawa Walks - Park near the Champlain Bridge on the Ontario side. Walk toward Quebec and enjoy the lovely views. The vehicle traffic can drown out the peaceful sounds of the water however you will get your steps in😉

An diesem Ort kann man einiges sehen. Gleich nebenan befindet sich das Fairmont Hotel und wenn man ein paar Meter in die andere Richtung läuft befinden sich dort die Fahnen aller Bundesstaaten von Kanada.

Nothing spectacular about the low level bridge. The pathway across is not as wide as some of the other newer bridges in Edmonton. And pedestrians are very close to the traffic. The architecture is nothing out is the ordinary. It's a functional driving and pedestrian bridge.

This bridge is, as others have commented, quite rusty. I don't believe, however, that it is unsafe. It demands a lot of attention when crossing, due to narrow lanes and a right-hand turn northbound that is right at the end of the bridge. I hope that Edmonton gives it a good scrub and new coat of paint soonish, though there are a few major construction projects to clear from the way first.

Not sure why I am reviewing a bridge but this is one of the oldest in the city and was originally used for transporting products across the river by rail. Its a cool looking bridge with style from a bygone era. Good to drive on or see from a distance but as soon as you get close you quickly realize the city does not care about it. Totally rusty and run down. I guess they put all of their money into the bright and shiny walterdale bridge instead of spending a few dollars sprucing up this one. Too bad really as it is visible from downtown and close to the funicular so it really should at look like its being kept up

This is a cool bridge to walk across with a great view of the river, as well as the downtown.
The only downside is that there’s no ramp for strollers on the north side of the bridge coming up from the river, so you have to really work to get up the grass to get up to the bridge and then pull the stroller backwards up the stairs.

This bridge is over 100 years old.
We like walking over this bridge and enjoy the views of the city and the North Saskatchewan River.
This bridge is iconic in Edmonton and think it could use a good cleaning and a new paint job. I disagree with the comment that it should be replaced. This is a part of Edmonton and we love it.

Its a bridge alright. 3 lanes going north and south. Crosses the North Saskatchewan River. Watch out for the huge troll that lives under it. Hes been know to eat small children and stray dogs.
