Cicchetti by San Carlo - London Covent Garden

I enjoyed the concept of Italian Tapas very much! Every single dish was absolutely amazing. The service was very attentive. A beautiful restaurant. Looks small from the outside, but is actually very big inside.

Brilliant here! The food was divine and the service was fabulous. Really friendly and attentive, but didn't hurry us off the table. I'll definitely be back. I had the pancetta and spinach risotto, along with the Margherita pizza. The desert was also unreal! It was a meringue cakes with strawberries - highly recommend!

I regret to say that my recent dining experience at San Carlo Cicchetti left much to be desired. Firstly, the portions were surprisingly small, leaving us feeling unsatisfied. Additionally, the desserts lacked flavor and quality, resembling supermarket fare rather than the culinary delights one would expect from a restaurant.

To make matters worse, our pizza was marred by the presence of several small pieces of plastic, which I discovered while chewing. This not only detracted from the meal but also raised concerns about the overall hygiene and attention to detail in the kitchen.

Overall, the combination of underwhelming portions, lackluster desserts, and the presence of foreign objects in our food made for a disappointing evening. It is my hope that these issues can be addressed to ensure a more enjoyable experience for future patrons.

Tapas Italian. I’ve seen the reviews mention small portions. But that is the point and you are encouraged to order 2/3 dishes. It is pricey but you are paying for great flavoursome food.

Penne Arrabbiata could have had a bit more heat but pasta cooked perfectly.

Bruschetta crispy and bright red plum tomatoes bursting with flavour.

Zucchine fritte are moorish and you can easily graze on afew bowls.

Risotto alla zucca was creamy and the saffron was a delightful touch.

Despite having no space left, the bomboloni (warm Nutella or puréed pistachio filling) was a perfect small burst of sweetness.

The pizza was on the thinner side and could have used more sauce and flavor. The 2nd dish was just bread with cherry tomatoes on top which was disappointing. However, the staff deserves a shoutout for their kindness and efforts to go above and beyond. While the wait times between courses were a bit long, it wasn't a huge issue for me. They could've served all the dishes together, but I'm not too fussed about it. The cheese pasta with truffles, though, was a standout – absolutely splendid and truly enjoyable.

We went here before going to the theatre and I would definitely come back. Its small plates but the pizza size was perfect and the caprese salad was delicious. We sat at the bar and the atmosphere was lovely, the staff were super friendly.

Authentic Italian food that is just excellent! We love the atmosphere and the waiters are always helpful and friendly. Especially Joseph. Thank you so much and we will be back!
