The grills, shawarmas, and fried chicken were overall pretty tasty, except for the meat shawarma it was kinda meh, the meat tasted a bit off. The service was terrible, had to wait forever for some meals, and the cashier took forever to take my order. The atmosphere wasn't that welcoming either. Also if you order 1kg of mixed grill, don’t expect too much because apparently, they believe onions and tomatoes are the secret ingredients to bulking up.

Rating 3 for the taste.

Generally, I prefer Palestinian and Lebanese food, but this Syrian restaurant is really perfect, clean & different.

Every time I’m visiting or passing by Malmö, I eat at Arous Damaskus.

The taste of the food is really delecious & the quality is reallly good. They don’t use so much species to hide solething like some other restaurants. I love their Shawarma, most of the vegetarian food they serve, and everything in the grill menu.

The Kibbe is lovely, JUST PERFECT, specially the grilled one. Really, really perfect!

I never tasted their hamburger & mostly I won’t, so I can’t give an opinion.

As for the Falafel and despite the good quality of the ingredients that I can taste, but I’ll still vote for other better Falafel alternatives in Malmö.

As an Egyptian, I might be biased when it comes to Falafel so don’t take my comment that serious when it comes to Falafel & taste their falafel & come with your own opinion!

Overall this restaurant is highly recommended by me! 👌🏼👌🏼

The food arrived exactly 35 minutes later. If you go back to the classic, it's very different. I think they forgot to put meat. Thanks

I visited this restaurant for breakfast today, as soon as we came in no one greeted us, we sat down and no one came to take our order. We had to go up to the till to order and we had to wait for 15 mins before someone took our order. we were told food would be 25 minutes, and they do not serve tea which is quite unusual for an Arabic restaurant. All we could hear is the woman shouting across to the chefs and it was very annoying, this ruined our whole experience as we were trying to enjoy our food. There should be some staff training to teach them how to treat customers and to speak quietly between each other instead of shouting across the room when customers are sat in the restaurant. Food came out eventually but we had to go up and get it. The food was good but nothing special. I do not recommend.

Amazing Syrian food. But there is a serious management issue that should be solved. sometimes the order takes so long.

After several times, trying to give it the benefit of the doubt I finally had enough, and I will never return there.

There is no language barrier as I am multilingual and can communicate in Arabic. The miscommunication issue comes from their lack of interest of providing customer service stemming from their bad attitude or other underlying issues.

The inconsistencies of the food each time is too severe. You never know what you’re getting and how it will taste.

The lack of customer service, the negative attitude, and the false advertising regarding the price. It has a mafia vibe where the menu keeps increasing without any notice, and you find out last minute.

The facility is dirty, and there is no active cleaning. And people who work there dislike being there. You can feel the vibe and see it in their faces.

During my visits I have ordered manaqish, falafel, foul and Fatteh. (The Fatteh was the worst experience I’ve had in my entire life, mainly of tahini, oil, and minimal yogurt and almost no chickpeas) ruined my Saturday morning 🤢

It has been extremely inconsistent in quality each time.

During its best time some of the food mostly manaqish have been delicious but then the lack of customer service ruined the moment.

The waiter or the person who takes the order has issues with delivering the food. You have to go and pick it up by yourself, which makes it awkward as it’s so crowded as people are waiting there to order.

The way the food is plated is not sanitary either as they use wooden cutting boards.

In summary, the place has potential, but my theory is that the quality personnel has quit, and the people who work there are miserable, which reflects the quality of the food.

The general attitude of not being there to serve ruins the dining experience. And feeling tricked with the pricing, makes it all worse.
