Skinny Dip Falls Trailhead

This trail is a good trail for anyone to hike. It's nothing too difficult just watch your steps as normal along the way. The falls view is amazing from both sides of it. If you decide to cross it once again, just watch your steps, and you should make it easily without getting wet. It's definitely worth seeing if you are in the area.

We love this little easy hike! The dragon tree is so cool! The lookout parking has a beautiful view of Looking Glass Rock, the trail is a pretty easy one, and the waterfall is lovely!

Easy hike from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Note that the trail starts across from the north end of the parking lot on the west side of the road. Easy out and back. Floods in the area a few years back have greatly impacted the falls in that there are a lot of downed trees clogging the upper part of the falls.

It was a tough hike to get to falls we found, I'm assuming there are better falls somewhere we didn't see by looking at other photos. It was difficult for my mom and we had two little ones with us, don't know I would do it again with them. The trail is marked well and has some man made stairs throughout. Once we got to the small falls and pools, it was great although the only place we found to hang out was on huge rocks. The water was quite cold. The drive there is breathtaking and the views alone made it worth the trip.

Really really cute waterfall. It wasn’t sunny when we went so wasn’t weather to swim sadly however I can see this place being amazing to visit on a hot summer day. Wasn’t very crowded on a Saturday afternoon. The water looked very clean and nice and would totally go in on a hot day. Hike to the falls is not difficult at all, can bring kids

A beautiful spot with lots of water and a nice swimming hole. There was once a bridge here to get across the stream to the other part of the trail, but a rock slide took it out. I take 1 star off because of how busy this spot is. Parking is at the most popular Overlook on that section of the Blue Ridge Parkway and its a short 10-minute hike to the water. It gets extremely crowded in the warm months.

A fun hike to the falls...took us about 45 minutes. Glad we had walking sticks for help over some slick rocks. Mid week, not crowded. Hike at your own pace. Lovely picturesque way to spend a couple of hours.
