Absolutely incredible place! Saw many birds and alligators! We were very excited!

We love this park! I've been going for 20 years and love it every time. Drive through park with tons of animals and trails to hike. We recently brought our golf cart along and had an even better time! Staff is very friendly! The park is very clean and well kept. Bathrooms are nice and clean. The camping sites are usually busy with lots of nice people! Bike rides are a popular activity out there. There's alligators all over out there, super cool! Try the Skywalk it's a staple in our town, everyone's gone and done that. March is the best time to see the gators they migrate there for mating season to myakka deep hole. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys national parks or is looking for something to do for a family day.

Such a peaceful place to visit. We didn’t see as many birds as usual but it was still an enjoyable experience. The weather was perfect, there was plenty of parking and sunshine.
The path was lined with the prettiest little purple flowers and there is a large tree at the beginning which is a perfect setting for photos.

Bring your binoculars for supberb viewing from the banks of Myakka Lake. There is a coin operated telescope (quarter). Bulletin board helps to identify the various indigenous birds.

Nice boardwalk for bird watching and gator watching. This is a popular spot on the weekend so get there early. Limited parking. Short walk to the boardwalk from the parking area.

I'm always enjoyed the park. I've been coming here for over 20 years. Never gets old and your tired of it. Love the interaction with nature
