There are some tables and chairs you can use here even after 2am. The view in the daytime is much nicer of course.
A great place to see Tokyo just one last time before you go past security. Plane-spotting paradise. At times you can feel the jet engines rev up.
Super clean airport, check in is self serve, restrooms are as clean as they can be, lots of shops and food court is on the 2nd floor just passed security.
This is probably the best spotting location at Haneda Airport. You can see all terminal 3 and 1 apron traffic and all rwy 16R/34L traffic. In the distance you can even see rwy 22 landings. There is a mesh fence but you can still take great pictures! With the observation deck facing north you’ve got great lighting throughout most of the day. Snack and drink machines are on the deck too.
I love this spot. Great view of the planes coming and going with the Tokyo skyline in the background.

Great airport… very large! Had to use the moving walkway to get from the plane to immigration/customs.
On my way back home I was lucky to have a ticket that allowed me to get into the first class lounge… very nice. I usually travel economy so this was a real treat. Observation deck was really nice.
Very efficient airport and not too busy when I traveled. World class designer shops inside.
