The Colorado Room

Stopped by the Colorado Room on our way through Fort Collins for a late lunch and the food was great! Homemade sauces, dressings and dips that compliment the fries and sliders perfectly! Super friendly staff too!

Laid back joint with artwork for sale on the walls. Outdoor seating in front and back, but it was too hot to sit there. Tried Rocky Mountain oysters for the first time. And they were delicious with a great chipotle aioli. They tasted like chicken fries steak bites. The sandwiches were good, especially the buns. One thing though—if something is spicy, it should specified on the menu. I had the shiitake sammy, and my mouth was on fire. It ruined the whole thing. I double checked the menu, and there was no indication that sesame Asian cole slaw would be loaded with hot pepper flakes.

I ordered the classic poutine. It was my first time ever having poutine, so I wasn't sure what to compare it to. I unknowingly went during happy hour, so I got a good deal.

Fries were a little too crunchy for my preference, cheese was a little too oily, gravy was pretty solid. I think the hot sauce was a necessary addition—the poutine is a little lackluster without it. The sauce adds some needed acidity and spice to the dish.
3.5/5 for the food, service and atmosphere were great though !

The food was too good to wait for a picture and the Bloody Mary was bomb as well. And they have a dog friendly patio. Also gluten free options for the sliders. All around great!

My wife and I stopped in here after finding it on Google maps. Service was great. My wife lived her spicy bloody Mary and my Old Fashioned was great.
They serve some of the best poutine I've had. Pulled pork is on point!

Great service, awesome food with a dive bar vibe. You can tell they put a lot of thought into the menu. Every slider ive tried has been a masterpiece in it own way. The poutine is a meal by it self. One of my favorite spots in Fort Collins

OMG, such a fabulous choice for lunch, the food was scumptous, and the guys working there were such a delight. The guest bartender Nate was so pleasant and informative on all the questions we asked of him. They even gave Skippy a little bowl of chicken he just devoured along with it being in a little bowl perfect for his size. For you all who don't know Skippy is a yorkie, small 9lbs. Now we ordered the Sammy deal 2, which gives you 2 Sammy's, a side order & drink.
Food wise, you just can't go wrong as it's all delicious as can be, first real restaurant that's just perfect in my books. I would definitely go back to eat at trying all their Sammy's.
Alright, now, what we ordered as you can mix and match your Sammy's. Mine choice was the Cheesestake Sammy, Banning MI Chicken(lordy it don't get any better), Tater-Eclair, and a Raspberry iced tea( so tasty). Little brother ordered 2 BBQ Sammys, tater-eclair, and half an order of wings with sweet & tangy Asian sauce. Oh, the Tater-Eclair comes with a number of choices of dipping sauces( brown sugar bacon, Chipotle, Sriracha). They were all delightful and tasty big time.

Big Shout Out to Danny, the owner & his partner for 10 years of a local top-notch restaurant that really satisfies all my taste buds. 👌 The conversation was pleasant & refreshing thanks for being such a delightful person. People being real is hard to find nowadays. It will ensure you stay in business for another 10 years. How could anyone not remember your great Sammy restaurant. If people want a change of regular boring food, The Colorado Room is for you to try. You will not regret it. You'll be like me. Why don't we have one back home, wishful thinking.
