We did the family chocolate course on Sunday. A totally positive experience, the time flew by , my 11year old was engaged the whole time. It was hands on and hands down a great experience.

Thank you to The Sydney Chocolate School and to Rebecca!
We had such a great experience for my friends hen doo! She organised everything last minute even a special drink request for one of our party. She went out of her way to make it a great experience and could not have been more lovely. I would recommend this experience to anyone!

Underwhelmimg. Great location and working environment but the workshop itself left much to be desired. In an hour and a half there was little hands on work due to one station and a bucket of melted chocolate rotating around. We did marble tempering which lasted 10 minutes and was followed by putting chocolate in various moulds which took up most of the lesson. The break was also very odd as on a hot 30 degree day we were given a paper plate of melted chocolate to eat. Host was friendly however and happy to answer any questions.

Highly recommend The Sydney Chocolate School! Rebecca you were incredible and we thoroughly enjoyed our morning making chocolates. Your knowledge was impressive, the team had so much fun, and we loved taking home all of the different chocolates we made. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!

The Sydney Chocolate School is in a really beautiful location, with some stunning views. However, their chocolate making class was a bit disappointing. As knowledgeable as the teacher was, and as delicious as the chocolates were, we came to the class to make chocolate but during the 3 hours class, I’d say only about 15% of it was hands-on. The rest of the time you’re standing around either watching others do something, or listening to the teacher give a history of the types of chocolates they have. This is because unlike most cooking schools where every couple or two people get a “station” where they get to make most of their food/chocolates themselves, there was only ONE station for a group of about 12, and we would take turns doing the work, like heating up the chocolate or pouring it into moulds. Also, it was a bit disappointing that we don’t get to take all the chocolate we make home. Most of the chocolate you make in class is actually packaged up to be distributed as samples in their stores. We did get to take home a small sample, but given you are paying to make chocolate in this class, and you don’t get to really make it or take it home, it was quite disappointing.

Overall I did enjoy tasting the chocolates, and the times when we got to actually do some of the work was very interesting and fun. But I probably wouldn’t come back unless they make their classes a bit more hands-on. I can imagine this class would be so much fun if every couple got their own station to make their chocolates themselves.

Amazing class run by an excellent teacher. Informative, fun and a great morning out. If you’re going, bring a bottle of water as making (and eating!) chocolate is thirsty work!
