Really enjoyed the exhibitions on display, especially Fashion Fusions. Gallery is very spacious and the restaurant is superb - so much so that we made a return trip just to eat there!

It’s a descent art gallery, for being The Vancouver Art Gallery, it leaves you wishing that architecture on the inside of the building was more detailed. It’s just lacking that wow factor. Walk into any art gallery in a major American city like in Chicago, New York, San Francisco, LA,.. and then compare it to what we have here. Its lacking in any sophistication, size, details, etc… yet the prices are almost the same as the above cities.

The art exhibit we saw was one by Persian artist as well as a fashion exhibit on the second floor. Nice exhibit, but rather small..Very friendly staff, which was nice. Especially the lady that helped us at cash. She was very sweet and kind.

The gift shop is a joke, it’s a tourist trappers paradise. Just expensive junk. There was nothing in the store to reflect the exhibits, nothing of note at all.

While the art gallery itself might look nice on the outside, the inside of the building is so bland that I didn’t even take a photo of the dome from the inside. It needs to be reworked to match the quality and attention to detail you find on the walls, ceilings, archways, etc. in museums in major American cities.

Such an incredible gallery. I came as a tourist in Vancouver and this was such a beautiful part of my trip. The gallery was filled with unique and creative displays alongside the impressive architecture. I especially enjoyed the current fashion display on the second floor. This gallery is also great for photo opportunities as each floor was condensed with exquisite and magnificent art. The admission is free for those under 18 so definitely check it out if you get the chance.

Visiting the Vancouver Art Gallery was a true delight for art enthusiasts like me. The exhibition featuring Parviz Tanavoli’s art works left a lasting impression with its intricate and captivating sculptures. His artistic expression was truly inspiring, and I found myself immersed in the stories each piece conveyed.

Additionally, the gallery’s diverse collection showcased a range of talented artists in the fashion world. It was fascinating to see how fashion and art seamlessly intertwined, reflecting cultural influences and innovative designs. From classic to contemporary, the exhibits provided a rich tapestry of creativity that celebrated both traditional and modern perspectives.

The experience at Vancouver Art Gallery was truly a feast for the senses, where I found myself surrounded by beauty, imagination, and artistic expression. It’s a must-visit destination for anyone seeking to explore the vibrant world of art and creativity in the heart of the city.

The current exhibits I really enjoyed. The creativity and designs of the fashion displays were stunning. However the display downstairs I found very interesting and moving. I won't go into details, you need to experience it for yourself.

I really enjoyed the Fashion Fiction exhibit as well as The Children need to hear another story. I was a bit surprised that such a large and renowned museum only had two exhibits.
