Very well put together exposition! It is absolutely worth going but keep in mind that the exposition is quite big. Therefore, go if you have a few hours to spare. Entrance fee is 4$.

Quite interesting and think children might like it with some things to touch, models and life size displays of times gone by.
Plus as in most places in Quito there are spots for a view.

Absolute must-see if visiting Quito. It demonstrates the rich history of Ecuador ,spanning over centuries . This museum truly gives an amazing insight into the development of Ecuador and the changes over the years as well as the history of the building, it once being a hospital in 1800-1900s. Would recommend visiting the 1500-1700s rooms as it depicts the Spanish colonisation in great detail with artifacts aswell as figurines portraying the Spanish invasion. Furthermore these rooms show how catholism shaped Ecuador into the country it is today .

Very interesting place to learn more about the history of Quito. The building itself has a lot of history as well. It's not too big so you only need about an hour or so to see the whole museum, but it's worth the time.
