We ordered food from this place for the first time. The prices of each vegetarian entree is more than what nearby restaurants in the same area would offer and we thought their food quality would justify that. However, we were so disappointed with the quality of food. Every curry was so oily that I could collect half a cup of oil in a separate bowl at home. I requested just applying a little bit butter on the tandoori roti so it’s not too dry. They ended up dipping the rotis in butter or oil too much that my hands were full of oil as I tried to take a bite. Never going back to this place, they have just hyped with their ambience but such poor quality food and rude staff.
I've been going to Sakoon since they opened. Alex, the manager at Fremont is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Ive known him from the other restaurant at Newark.. He always interact with customers and help his staff when needed.

The restaurant at Fremont has good food, especially the veggie curries. Naan is always fresh and hot. Staff are very attentive and friendly. They're all from Goa and Punjab State.
Please try this restaurant and you won't regret coming more often.

We went for dinner, we ordered one paneer sabzi, one spinach kofta sabji and avocado jhalmuri with naan basket. All the items were really delicious. I wish I could give 5 stars but the service from both the servers/managers were not so good. They just wanted us to order more food and didn't want to describe the items we asked about. They were just like 'putting' ordered food on our table and got busy in their chores. Seemed pretty rude behavior!
Outstanding service. The food was very good. Was not overly spicy as was previously experienced here. Large parking lot. The desert was the highlight of the meal.
I have tried 3 different Sakoon restaurants and never got a disappointment in terms of flavor n taste.
This time it was Fremont one. My family first ordered two appetizers (Chaat Papdi n Saufia Paneer) and they loved both in taste. Only thing is that papdi was less in Chaat Papdi (lol).
We found the main course very tasty as well. We asked for green chili on side to add more spice but they offered another dish (some salad) which I didn’t understand.
Side sitting is compact and not comfortable but middle ones are better since you can adjust the chairs.
My reviews are mostly because of taste.
I would like to return whenever want to eat tasty food.
