Castlewood Stables

Brought my 2.5 year old here for a winter parent and me session and it was amazing! My girl is obsessed with animals but also is a horse girl and could have stayed here all day. With so many small kids, they were patient and organized and had a great structure in place for the event. The kids got to interact with so many animals, including feeding horses, sitting on a zebra, holding a wallaby, and so much more! They were so encouraging to my daughter as well who insisted on extra time with some of the animals. They were helpful with all the kids and parents and we will be back for more of these sessions and lessons once she is old enough. My daughter talks about horses everyday so this was definitely a special memory for her. Thank you all!

This place was amazing! The owner Kevin was fantastic with our daughter! Everyone who was working was so kind and welcoming. I highly recommend going. My daughter has not stopped talking about it. We will definitely be going back.

Couldn’t recommend a better stable! I helped out around the barn in return for leasing this beautiful guy. Kevin quickly felt like family to me, and everyone out there was so kind and welcoming! You can tell that the horses and other animals are their top priority, and get the best care!

I took my 4 year old (soon to be 5) granddaughter as a surprise. She absolutely LOVED the entire experience especially riding Einstein the ZEBRA. All of the animals were such sweet creatures and the Pony is so adorable. My granddaughter was able to walk him around the ring and ride him. Plus there is a small petting zoo and children's play area. The entire staff were very nice and very knowledgeable. I will DEFINITELY be bringing her back!

If the kids are into animals they will have the time of their life...I almost didn't want to leave a review because I wanted to keep this hidden gem hidden. Signed up for a parent and me session and they completely exceeded my expectations. The staff is wonderful, the horses are well cared for and was a great experience all around. Highly recommend Castlewood stables for equestrian fun. Did I mention reasonable rates? You can tell that they love their animals and what they do.Thank you to Steve and company for making such great memories for the kiddos.

Such an amazing experience. Parent N Me sessions are well worth the money. A lot of fun. Very laid back. Little wait times and so many things to do.

This is an amazing barn! My daughter is gaining confidence and life-long skills. They have several instructors and every horse is amazing. They will rotate who your child rides to build the skills they need. My daughter has some special needs and both the instructors and horses have worked with her at her level going at her pace. Bringing siblings? (I had all three of mine at riding at one time) or if riding's not for them they have a giant pirate ship to keep them busy or pitching lessons available as well. This barn is not a show barn but a riding barn where the focus is on the rider and what they need. I've ridden their private trails and they are great for adults who want to take a ride as well. This is a family atmosphere where the owners live on-site and actually care about the growth your child makes. They also have extremely fair pricing for riding, leasing, and boarding. I can't say enough about this amazing barn! We had her birthday party at the barn and love to bring friends!
