Inside of this place looks more like a brewery. It used to be a brewery but they do not brew any thing in this location any more. All liquors and beers are brewed in Nashville, Indiana and was transported here. All served beers are their own products and you can taste their products here. There is a very nice bar inside and a space upstair with bar which is rented for different events. There is an outdoor space for sitting and eating food too. Food was very nice and I enjoyed it.
Our waitress was super nice, however timing with the bar was completely off. In a party of 4, 3 people ordered their drinks at the same time (rum and coke, beer flight, a plain margarita, and a seltzer on tap). Waitress then came back to let me know they were out of seltzers so I ordered a strawberry margarita and both margaritas eventually came out at the same time despite being ordered at different times.
Food was both a hit and a miss, also another timing issue. My friends wings were just alright, my pizza came out hot, but my side of onion rings were cold as if they had been sitting there for a long while. While eating our dinner another plain margarita was ordered. This time we waited 25 minutes for it to arrive and by that time we were ready for the bill and to leave.
As we were sitting there talking about Bar Rescue and the details in the customer experience, all 4 of us came to the conclusion that if timing was better, the food was hot, and the attention to detail was there, this place would have received a higher rating.

Love this place!! Located in the heart of downtown Speedway. Come in to a welcoming atmosphere served with good food and drinks. Today Big Woods is serving its Indy 500 race crowd with delicious drinks and food. I started off with a tall strawberry blonde with a bowl of chili. The beer is crisp with a strawberry finish. The chili is very bold with hints of seasoning. Next I ordered their Malik Reneau burger and it is so delicious. Burger comes with smoked bacon,onion rings, and BBQ sauce. 1 side of pub fries, and 1 side of sauté veggies.
In speedway Indiana there are two restaurants I go to Big woods, speedway and and bourbon and BBQ. Both are amazing restaurants with amazing staff and unbelievable drinks. Probably some of the best food I've had in a long time.
I had a alcoholic beverage that seemed like it did not have any
alcohol in it at all, but once I stood up
I could tell it definitely had alcohol in it, also my husband L-O-V-E-D
his wings, he begged me if we could come back tomorrow night just so he could get the wings again.
All in all, it was a great trip.

The food is mediocre for what they charge for each meal. My calzone didn't taste bad whatsoever, I've just had better for even a lower price. My husband really liked his chicken alfredo pizza and said it was very flavorful. It just cost roughly $30 which is crazy. Our server wasn't very attentive to us. We had to ask twice for to go boxes. The restaurant is very nice inside and the hostess greeted us as we came in and when we left.
Visited from out of town on a business trip. It was a cool experience socializing with football fans from another state. Great atmosphere and awesome customer service. Kinda wish the beer was here, too. I’ll recommend this place to anyone traveling to/around Indy!
