We were immediately greeted. Everyone’s friendly. The restrooms are clean. Tortillas are fresh, chips are crispy, salsa is flavorful/smoky. Avocados are ripe. My tacos had twice as much mahi mahi as I expected. Our server was extremely helpful, and heard my wishes instead of pushing the most expensive item on the menu. Matthew is very attentive and definitely helped us make great choices. We had a feast for a hundred bucks.

What a place to experience.
Queso? Oh yeah.
Corn thing? Yuh huh.
Everything else? DUH.

Such amazing and authentic food to experience.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of dining at El Bolero in Dallas, Texas, and I must say, this restaurant truly exceeded all expectations. Never in my life have I experienced a chile relleno stuffed with crab, and the extensive menu offered a plethora of unique dishes that you won't find elsewhere. From appetizers to drinks, El Bolero stands out as a truly unique dining experience. It has quickly become one of my new favorite spots in Dallas, and I can't wait to return to try more dishes from their menu. The service, particularly from my server Dave, was exceptional. Dave went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience, even offering to take care of me on future visits if I mentioned him. I highly recommend asking to sit in Dave's area for top-notch service. Overall, El Bolero is a standout in Mexican cuisine, offering a culinary experience like no other.

Have the corporate card or an out of town guest to wow? Take them here! Higher than average prices for food you can get nearby at half the cost. That said the atmosphere is pretty organized and great. The drinks are too sweet for my liking. Was disappointed on the “best margarita in dallas” (oil man), tasted like terry blacks frozen black margarita, both not my favorite due to sweetness. The best thing to get here was the squash soup. The empanadas are also a decent appetizer tonight accompany the meal. I would suggest skipping on the green michelada unless you really love green dipping salsa on everything.

So we go in At three pm. Seated very quickly. Ordered our drinks and appetizers. The tequila options here are not good. The advertiser mexican Elote Had zero flavor. We ordered the cochinita pibil- excellent. Also ordered a Tlayuda Carne asada. Excellent. Needed mexican crema. But the Waiter/Manager was absentee. Took too long for water refill. Asked for a spicy salsa, took 15-20mins. He was just walking around. David the bartender saved the service. Very attentive and good Mixologist. Food is EXCELLENT but your service was lacking.
