Went in for lunch on a Tue early afternoon. Got lucky with the weather and sat outside (highly recommend this if you can.. weather dependent). Service was spectacular..

Not the biggest fan of shrimp and grits but its their most popular entree.. so gave it a try. Outstanding! Butter was delicious.. grits were surprisingly tasty. Shrimps were large and fresh

We got the lemon ricotta pancakes to share. This was the move! Light, fluffy, not too sweet. Delicious!

I visited here with my mom, we are both gluten and dairy intolerant. The staff was very accommodating and helped us find great substitutes. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. We will definitely come back and recommend to others.

West Lynn is a pretty part of Austin. Josephine house is a pretty restaurant in a pretty part of Austin. I felt pretty just sitting there sipping my golden milk tea ( which has no milk nor tea.)

The food was hit or miss for me, but overall enjoyable. It’s an excellent place to come and have a cup of wine, a nice cocktail or one of their many decaffeinated herbal drinks.

I had the brussels sprouts and shishito peppers to start. I loved it as a Shishito pepper dish. I could’ve done without the Brussels. I didn’t think they added anything, for me.

I had the curry octopus as my main.
I love the curry, the roasted tomatoes, the salad, and the butter that it came with.
The flavor on the octopus was great, but for me, the texture was off. There is something oddly fatty about this octopus to me (that may be a “me” thing, though.)
I would eat the roast tomato curry salad with butter that I had every day - that was exquisite.

I feel like this place would shine at brunch.

The service was fine, but that’s all I could say about it. Frankly it was a little bit beneath what I was expecting given the area, ambience, and the price point. If I were at the local coffee shop across the street or even the galaxy Café, the service would’ve made more sense to me.

There is no parking to speak of only four seats at the bar maybe 20 inside 30 if you’re being generous. The outside seating makes up for 2/3 of the tables.

We loved this place. The service was amazing, food was outstanding but I don’t like being misled. We got there on a Sunday for a 4 o clock reservation and was told brunch ended at 1:30pm and dinner didn’t start til 5pm. They had only had 5 snack items on the menu. Needless to say we almost walked out. We decided to give it a chance and my wife ordered one item and I ordered another. Both dishes were outstanding. Food wise I have no complaints, service was great but please update your meal times. My wife and I went out of our way to enjoy a kid free meal at your establishment and the meal times were inconsistent. We almost wasted one of few kid free days.

Cute little place.. delicious pastry selection. A bit pricy.

Plenty of outside seating. The lemon ricotta pancakes were great.

One of the best brunch spots in Austin. This restaurant never fails. All dishes are elevated, tasteful and a small menu, get diverse. Within a beautiful neighborhood, genuine local spot. Great spot for brunch with friends or family. Outdoor seating makes the majority of the space.

This place is absolutely adorable. The restaurant is located in a house (hence the name). The interior is a quaint setting with a few small tables and a bar which has a few seats. The kitchen connects to the dining room so you get a glimpse of the action from the inside seating. Outside, there are more tables on the lawn giving a unique garden-party vibe. The quiet neighborhood is a lovely setting for the restaurant.

The staff was amazing-it really seems like they all enjoy working there. They were all very friendly and went above and beyond when it came to hospitality.

As far as the food is concerned it was top-notch. Perfectly prepared and wonderfully seasoned. We were more than pleased with our experience and absolutely recommend visiting.
