My partner (who is from Derbyshire) bought me here and I loved it. This beats many Indian restaurants in larger cities and can honestly say the food and service was A1. Keep up the good work and please open a branch in London!!

Don’t usually leave reviews but for places that go above and beyond I’ll make an exception.

Must be recently renovated as the whole restaurant has a cosy fresh atmosphere. Great for a family meal or romantic one. Was busy but just the right amount. Not too loud but enough to create a great feeling.

We had staff waiting on us like we were the only ones here, 4 or 5 waiters were seeing to us, but not rushing. We were even offered a break in between courses. Absolutely refreshing experience.

Food was great, really good flavour and fresh. Best poppadoms I’ve had in a very long time, warm and not stale at all. Presentation was great. 100% recommend if in the Derby area.

Nice small curry house, beer was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was absolutely amazing. Very busy place. Enjoyed my food and beer. Will visit again when in the area. Well worth a visit. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit.

Attending an event at the Sub Rooms we needed some food before hand. .with VERY little choice we came across this place.
It was awful from the time we sat down.
A lovely young man who couldn't speak English was really very busy tidying and delivering drinks.
The man who appeared to be in charge just constantly spoke aggressively to him in a, what I assume, to be both their native language. At one point he grabbed him hard by the arm. I was very uncomfortable.

I asked if we could order and the man in charge, rolled his eyes and told me "soon". He went off to answer the phone, over and over and over.

We finally ordered 30 minutes after sitting down. 🤦

We waited another 45 minutes for our food. (In fancy restaurants I get that, but not here!)

The food was ok. Absolutely no more than that. And the rice was awful. I didn't eat it. Mushroom fried rice. No seasoning.... and really greasy.

Other tables were waiting longer than us, the table next to us, who ordered the same time as us, still didn't have their food after we'd eaten ours. An hour and 15 minutes after ordering. They left.

As did 2 other tables who had been waiting over an hour each.

We assumed they were just concentrating on takeaways......mm but even that was started to get backed up and people were returning because items were missing once they did get their orders.

There was such an unrest. Customers even become angry and threatening.
One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had.

Oh. And the table cloth wasn't really clean and cutlery didn't match. And my meal (although tastes ok) looked awful.

Great night finished off with a great meal. So nice to have great service and nothing seemed too much trouble. Very attentive and willing to help with choices and options. Food was absolutely delicious. Recommend

Visited here for Mother's Day. Food was very good and service great. The only issue I would say we had was the pricing. The menu said set meal £21.00 per head but we were charged £25.00 per head. Not sure what happened there 🤷‍♀️

As always, this was a lovely meal, staff were faultless and there's a buzzing, but laid back atmosphere. Only issue was the rice portions were on the small size and the naan wasn't garlicky or cheesy enough. Possibly because this was an early bird meal. Otherwise excellent
