Though I believe Juan Cabrera to be talented, working with him was the worst experience I had on Upwork with a freelancer. He lists himself as a web design freelancer on there but works through multiple business names, including this one Lab Pros. My experience started off pleasant and then in late November (two months after starting a contract with him for a simple website) he just stopped responding and working on my website. With that said, he continued to complete multiple projects that he began after mine and blatantly did not respond to Upwork’s attempts to contact him to dispute the work that wasn't completed. He has multiple businesses listed under his name and I will be leaving a review for each of them because his future customers have a right to know of the negative experiences customers have had.
We began a contract on Upwork for my simple website on September 30th and as of January 12th the website still had not been completed. Upwork ended the contract and he was instructed to contact me to finish the site as well as I was told his account with Upwork would be restricted because he became unresponsive. The project overall was not a complex project and I provided everything that Juan asked me for to get the project done. At one point there was a miscommunication about what was needed for hosting for the website so I paid $500+ for a Wordpress website upgrade so that he could link the website draft that he created to my Wordpress account. He still has not done that as of January 17th. I am very disappointed because I was both responsive and respectful toward Juan through the entire process. Aside from my lack of understanding about the hosting I was responsive and willing to provide what was needed for the project. To avoid any additional issues, I asked that he link the website he created using his flywheels management platform and my wordpress website so I could move forward with ending the project but he hasn't been responsive nor has he linked the two websites. We signed a legally binding contract that stated all contents created for the website were owned by be and should remain in my possession even if/regardless if the project was not completed.
I would not recommend Lab Pros/Juan Cabrera's services because of the lack of communication, professionalism, and transparency for the process. You can find a freelancer/business that will value your business and will complete the tasks appropriately however my experience with Juan and his business have been subpar at best. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews as I always want to see freelancers and small business owners win but this is unacceptable and other customers should be warned before making a decision to work with a business. My hope is that anyone who does choose to work with him has a better experience than I did and can be given the glowing customer service his other reviews state he gives to people.

Working with Juan at Lab Media Pros has been a consistent and smooth experience. His customer service is amazing. He takes the time to walk you through everything and always try to find better ways to make you more productive and effective. I strongly recommend this business. Worth every penny. From a happy and satisfied customer to the world.
Working with Lab Media Pros has been a very positive experiences we've had in many years with web design agencies. They made us feel like our project was the most important one and were very knowledgeable about website development and marketing, Juan returned every call and email promptly, and completed our project on time.
