Nice stroll between an interesting cemetery and marshes.
It's a short boardwalk along a messy creek. What is neat about it is the cemetery that the boardwalk is beside. We spent far more time in the cemetery than walking on the boardwalk. The cemetery has a lot of the area's history.
Park at the Morehead City municipal office to start the board walk trek. It's really quite nice& scenic
Amazing place for birding! Saw a few birds we'd rarely seen before. Also saw some birds more up close than ever before. Will remember the osprey sitting in a tree just above us with a fish in it's talons.
Great place to catch an awesome Sunset.
Nice boardwalk. Several comments about parking. Best thing to do is park at the Parks and Recreation HQ on 17th street and walk the short distance down Bay Street to get to the trailhead.
What a super cool boardwalk. No parking lot but we parked at the cemetery. We saw a couple, what we expected to be, cranes nests with 2 of them having a egg!!! Some see this hidden treasure!
