This has been the best place I have ever gone to for my eye exam and glasses. The people are wonderful! The music was perfect! Very relaxing and comfortable place to be.!! I would 100% recommend! Especially the music! It made me feel at home!

Called today and got in the same day luckily! Amazing staff all around. Great environment and they work efficiently! Loved it there.

For quite some time, my wife and I considered switching to Austin Ryan Optika (New Paltz). A friend and colleague also recommend them. Today, we had our appointments and it was a very pleasant experience from the very moment we entered. We found anyone that we directly interacted with to be very kind, courteous, honest, and professional. Likewise, Dr. Chapman was a pleasure to work with and really took the time to properly evaluate our vision and address any questions we had. Steve was also very kind and knowledgeable. We also enjoyed our time with Sal. We found him to be patient, genuine, sincere and Highly knowledgeable. Not once did he try to rush or limit us. We also respected his honesty. We Highly recommend the New Paltz location of Austin Ryan Optika. True professionals that invest a great deal of time and care with each patient. Every phase of choosing eyeglasses done right! Thank you!

I've been going to Austin Ryan Optika for years, and they've always been so friendly and helpful. Today, they were no exception! I broke my glasses in half this morning at the bridge (whoops!), and was immediately glad that I had purchased two pairs of the same frames last year. I had never gotten lenses put in the second frame, and assumed it would be an easy fix. But when they attempted to switch the lenses over, they were slightly too big. One of the opticians carefully shaved down the lenses to fit the new pair and I am so relieved that they did! Life is incredibly hectic right now, and I cannot function without my glasses. Thank you for the care, service, and kindness! I look forward to working with you again soon.

Detailed staff that assisted me to select reading glasses with blue light protection and progressives.Steve Z. Really listened to me in regard to my past experience with progressives. The result was perfectly made glasses and they look great.

I have been going to Austin Ryan for like 15 years. They have always been there for me getting contacts, glasses, and the drs have always been great. Dr Szwartz knows his stuff. Due to my extreme near sightedness, they started seeing my kid around 4-5yo regularly and they are always patient and amazing. They have always stood by the product.

i'm a senior citizen. I found frames and lenses at the New Paltz store that I liked. I was told that they do provide the service of installing new lenses in customer frames. I bought both with the concern that the frames could be found for less money elsewhere. The cost of the frames was $351. The lenses were around $500. With tax, the total purchase was $909.
The day of the purchase I found the exact frames on line for less than $80. I immediately called the store and explained the situation. They offered to place the lenses in the $80 frames and refund the $351 for the frames I'd bought from them. They urged me to keep the order in tact until they could examine the $80 frames -- they were concerned that they might be knock-offs.
Today I brought the $80 frames in. They were the real Ovvo frames and were an exact match to the $351 frames that they wanted to sell me.
They did install the $500 lenses in my frames. When I asked if they would place them in a case for me, I was told that cases were for people who bought frames. I was told that I must have my own case and they declined to as much as place them in a protective cloth case.
It is not way to threat a senior citizen.
