An island FOR recreation but they don't allow you to drive your Recreational vehicle to the appropriate area! You can drive your atv to the ferry dock to get there, but can't take it on the roads once over there. Nice ticket trap!
We decided to go to Drummond island as we had never been on a car ferry before. We ate breakfast at the Bear Track Restaurant. Very good food. We drove around the island looking at different things. And left after a couple of hours.
I loved the island. Cozy, layed back, friendly people. The area is beautiful and peaceful. The fall colors were amazing. It was a great time with great friends...
This was very cool I had to wait a bit for the ferry.
Great place. Right next to the water. First come first served. $20 per tent site. Right next to the Heritage trail.

Great experience taking the ferry! The captain and crew make it so easy to board and off board the ferry . It's definitely a must for anyone visiting the eastern side of the UP
The cost is $20 per vehicle. That includes a round trip. Staff is quick. Trip takes 15 minutes.
