Pickles

Food is always good as is the service. We love to visit Pickles when in town. Older venue that could use a little TLC to make it the nicest spot on the bay! Would recommend to anyone visiting WhiteFish Bay!

Great place! Lots of fun! Grandkids loved the hats. Try the Frickels. White fish was great. Will be stopping by again when we are in the area.

I had been wanting to try this place for quite a while. My son and his girlfriend took me for dinner when I was visiting for mother's day. I had been told the fish was excellent. That was not a lie. I had tha fish tacos and my son ordered the fish bites and his girlfriend had the smelt basket. We shared and everything was so darn good. I wish I lived close by because I would go there often. If you do stop in, try the fish it's really good. And our waitress was a charming young lady and she took really good care of us. I will definitely be back. Thanks Pickles for some of the best fish I have ever eaten.

We had high hopes of a good view and great food. The vegan burger was so spicy my friend needed more water. I got the grinder and it was the saddest sandwich; very soggy and the bread wasn’t even toasted. We asked for pickle hats and we’re told they’re usually out. The drink was good and the view was less than pretty

Edit (May 2024): Upon going back this yeah, it has not gotten better in the least. The building is still incredibly dirty but this time, the food made everyone in my group very familiar with the restroom. Not only this, but the staff was incredibly rude and the wait was about 45 minutes for an appetizer (normally I give the benefit of the doubt here, but there were only three or four other groups there at the time we were). We had my toddler son with us and upon arriving, I asked if they had a high chair (which they had less than a year ago when we last visited). Our waitress sarcastically laughed, looked around, and said “If you haven’t noticed, this place is kind of a dive- so, no”. I wish I could say something good about this restaurant because it has so much potential, between location, theming, and the view, but now I can’t even say the food is good.

(September 2023) I'm so conflicted writing a review. The food is fantastic (fish tacos, taco salad, and chicken strips are great!) but the place is an absolute dive. It's dirty, lights are burnt out inside, visible dirt caked on the floor (I can't imagine what the kitchens look like), and the outside patio is bowing in the center to the point you actually feel uncomfortable sitting there. Large, fresh cracks can be noticed in some of the support beams holding up the patio. The stairs and walkways are uneven.

The menu has a few different things I wouldn't mind trying, but I stuck with the whitefish sandwich and onion straws. The whitefish sandwich tasted amazing! Really nicely done, and the tartar sauce complimented it nicely. The onion straws could really have used some ranch.

Service was nice. The waitress checked on me several times, and another employee really took to the kids visiting there and made sure they had Pickles hats.

Only grip I had besides no ranch for the onion straws (or ketchup for that matter) is the table was kinda gross in that sticky way.

Service was not the best waitress made several trips bringing one item at a time when asked for silverware and napkins etc. The food was a good temperature the fried was just a bit burnt but still very good option and would get again. The view is worth the trip and the birds were fun if you don’t mind almost being attacked gave us tons of laughs .. we survived without any harm to birds or us ! It was a great experience overall :)
