It was lovely here! I'm visiting from NY, and it was nice to see the different fauna. Would come back. The trails are moderate. Hiked in sneakers, no problem, although they got a little dusty. I saw a turtle and a snake.

Nice shaded playground with adjacent restrooms. Trails looked nice but didn't get to use them on this trip. Also saw basketball courts, baseball field and soccer field. I couldn't find the pictured Panthers field but maybe on the next visit! Wasn't crowded at all when I went on a holiday weekend.

A very nice place for an evening walk or picnic. The trails are pet friendly and there are small ponds along the way. There’s ample of parking space and multiple trails.

Wonderful large park, easy to get away from the commotion and immerse yourself into the forested areas.

Very nice park, definitely one of Charlotte’s best. There are 7 trails to choose and they aren’t terribly long, which is a good thing if you want some quick a mild-intensity exercise. For a longer experience, one can easily combine the trail loops as they do largely overlap. It’s a great way to get “lost”, so to speak, in nature and remove oneself from the urban bustle. In the literal sense, there’s NO way to get lost here because the trails are so well marked and maintained. When driving to the nature center parking lot, it feels as if you are miles outside the city in a remote wilderness..all within a couple minutes! I recommend hiking to the Robinson House Ruins - it’s a great spot for photos!

Always a pleasure visiting here. Dragonfly pond trail is amazing. Great for families wishing to get some outdoor time together—two playgrounds and plenty of space for kids to run around after a hike/walk. Great activity offerings for kids and the nature center is lots of fun.
