Enjoyed seeing the history of Waltham. Lived there most of my life. I know a lot about the city but learned a lot of new things about my hometown.

Wonderful Museum of a Community proud of its Industrial Heritage. I enjoyed it immensely. Very interesting displays of City Police and Fire/ Rescue Heritage. “Watch City “ watchmaking relics including a face panel from Waltham’s old giant Tower Clock. Several Displays of Vintage Apparel, Military History, Firearms and Industrial Leaders and Notable Figures. Our group went to see the restored Orient Buckboard made in Waltham. We parked on the Street, but a Parking Garage is across the Street from the Museum. Wonderful old Brick Building with a historic Firehouse next door. Very friendly and knowledgeable Docents with well displayed and informative material. The Museum features Metz and Orient Automobiles and Orient Bicycles and Motorcycles made in Waltham. Quite a bit on Bicycle Racing History. This Collection should be viewed in conjunction to a visit to the Metz Estate at Gore Place.

The museum displays have been been updated. This is a great way to spend a few hours if you are interested in history.

Amazing artifacts of the families who built Waltham and the Famous who called Waltham home. The police room had handcuffs, badges, uniforms, and old police logs.
