I haven’t been to any other indoor escape rooms in Vancouver so I can’t say that it’s the best one here but what I can say is this. This was an incredibly fun escape room that didn’t have a single combination lock. The puzzles were all very technical for the most part, save a few keys. In terms of the staff, they were all very friendly and accommodating. Hints were incredibly well timed and unlimited! Check this out!

We solved the Curse of Madame Zita's Curiosities with 6 people and it was a fantastic room! We were actually a little worried at first as we are used to 1hr rooms, but:
- There were plenty of puzzles to solve in parallel, and unlike some other escape rooms, it actually felt natural. Not like two linear paths side by side. Some puzzle clues are available early on and you have to keep it in mind until later once the related puzzle is actually available.
- On that note, like the best escape rooms, this room also makes sure puzzle pieces are only used once and then set aside so there's no confusion.
- The production value is indeed great, I'd give it a 4.5 star in this area because they are limited by being in a rented mall space. For example, doors are clearly doors (rather than secret bookcase doors or wardrobe doors) and there's no tunnels/ladders, etc. Honestly this is the only point that keeps this room from breaking into my Top 3 escape rooms of all time, but the room is still very well decorated (without extraneous junk that is clearly not puzzle related) with high quality looking pieces.
- And to reiterate, the puzzles are great. All reasonably clued, feels fair, not too easy. The game master mentioned this room has more spatial puzzles compared to their other room which is more logical apparently. Definitely requires communication and I think it's best with 3-6 players. It might be tough to complete within the time limit without prior escape room experience, but it's definitely worth doing at some point.
- Lastly, we didn't use any hints but we were told that they are unlimited and the system seemed very clear as it would've come through on a monitor screen with sound effects (no fuzzy speakers). The game master was very kind and excited for us, and she seemed equally enthused about talking about the puzzles at the end and let us know that they were all created by the owner. Good secure lockers for our belongings during the game. No interior restrooms, use the ones in the food court.
Overall, very glad people suggested this escape room on Reddit and that we could stop by during our Vancouver trip.

It was a very good experience! Very immersive and the puzzles are very diverse and perfect level to solve! They’ll give you hints if you find it too difficult. We come as a group of 2, so we’re only able to finish around 75% of the Madame Zita’s room, but we had fun! Definitely worth to try it out!

We completed Madame Zika’s Curiosities with 6 people. The puzzles were challenging, but not frustrating and everything worked well. We finished with a few moments to spare. I liked that there were multiple puzzles people could be working on simultaneously. This made it more enjoyable to do as a group since everyone could be engaged. They gave clear instructions at the start. I also liked how you could get hints, so you don’t get stuck and miss out on other parts of the room. I’d return to try their other existing room or their new room that’s opening soon.

A great time for the whole family. Multiple puzzles involved people having do more than one thing at the same time, which brought in some great teamwork.
Loved the noise when you’ve done something right. It really helped keep everyone motivated and optimistic when you heard the noise.
Not a cluttered escape room like some I have done. Fun puzzles with a good combination of logically and outside the box thinking. It really brought the best out of all of us.
Highly recommend.

Easily the best escape room in Vancouver. All the things I don't like about escape rooms are fixed here. I love the hint system "free clues" to help you stay on pace. I love the sounds to show you that you've done something correct. Every single puzzle was exactly what you think it is. They puzzles also required a lot of teamwork (think of someone reading a set of instructions). The rooms are very well designed and I feel like they really put a lot of effort. They required custom props for everything! I'd recommend this place for new and veteran players.

Super engaging! Our group of 5 from Calgary did The Madam Zita room and all agreed that it was one of the best experiences.
The level of attention to detail, prop design, and puzzle intricacy is astounding. In 45 min, you get way more puzzles and interactivity than the average escape room. The puzzles are crafted with clarity design so you don't need to spend too much time wondering which one of 5 meanings it could mean.
The puzzle pieces or props in this room are hand-down the most beautiful I've personally seen. The sound design of indicating when a new shelf is unlocked is also brilliant.
