We celebrated the day of our 16th wedding anniversary by walking the Pilgrim's Path to Holy Island with Ray. It was an incredible journey. I walked this solo 20 years ago and when we planned our trip to the UK for our anniversary, this walk was my number one priority to share with my husband. Walking with Ray and hearing the history and local stories really enriched the experience. He has a great balance of letting you enjoy the peacefulness of the walk, blended with breaks where he shares his great knowledge of the area. Once on the island, Ray customized the tour for us to highlight our interests. Thank you Ray! It was a fantastic journey!

Ray was an excellent and well informed guide and a very good story teller. It was a wonderful walk to St. Cuthbert’s Cave. Would definitely recommend. Thank you, Ray!

Really enjoyed the walk over the pilgrims path to Holy Island, nice gentle walk over the sands with Ray imparting his knowledge as we went. Something I always wanted to do and Ray turned it into a very nice experience, good weather helped but all in all a very enjoyable experience.

The trip to Holy Island was everything we hoped it would be. Ray was a knowledgeable and interesting guide, leading us across the sands and filling us in on the history of early Christianity and the Northumbrian kings. It was made particularly atmospheric by the early mists drifting in off the sea. Ray took us on to the island, telling us more about how the island was settled and pointing out the many interesting things that we would have missed had we been unaccompanied. Well worth it!

Fascinating walk today with
@hidden_heritageuk . We did a 6 mile, just over 2 hour circular walk taking in part of St Cuthberts Way and St Cuthberts Cave. Our guide Ray is a font of interesting information about the history and landscape of Northumberland. #hiddenheritage #guidedwalk #walk #Northumberland #stcuthbertsway #stcuthbertscave #nationaltrust #history #outdoors #attractions #hiking #ukhiddenheritage

We had an excellent walk with Ray, starting from Norham Castle and then along the banks of the Tweed. Very interesting and off the normal beaten track approx 4.5 miles. Ray is very knowledgeable and a really good host, we would definitely use him again and have no hesitation in recommending him. Thanks again.
