A beautiful refuge. You can't completely escape the sounds of the city, but this place is still wonderful.

My adult students had a very rich experience with RWMWD and Master Naturalist, test the quality of the Green Heron Pond and finding birds and plants treasured on their nature hike along your trails. Thank you

Great place to walk around, destress and enjoy nature.

Free. Ample parking. On the weekend the building isn't open, but there is a porta potty.

A quiet place for watching geese, mallards, red wing blackbirds, woodpeckers, blackcapped chickadees. A little chilly but the sunset was worth waiting for

Very relaxing. Short, easy walk, places to stop and sit if needed. Nice boardwalk on the water to view wildlife in the water. Unfortunately, dogs are allowed on this trail. Enjoy your walk.

You don't have to leave the city to find a country getaway. A nice variety of trails and a boardwalk across the pond to get up close with nature. The low lying shaded areas will require bug spray.

The trails are not that long so it is a good place to bring younger children. Trails are not paved so if you bring a stroller make sure it's sturdy.

Lots of benches along the trail to rest and take in the scenery. Bring a camera because there's lots to take in.
