I grew up in Long Lake. My brothers and I walked to the beach quite often. The area has changed quite a bit, but I get very nostalgic every time I visit
First time here and it’s beautiful. There’s a fishing pier, bbq area, swimming, playing ground , and trail.
Cute little disc golf course here! Busy spot with boats going onto lake!
Beautiful lake nice boat launch and beach. Docks are available to fish off of. There is a playground right close to the water. Small parking lot. Quiet lake.
I go to long lake for boating, better be early on the weekend, only about 12 spots to park then your on your own. Great lake for tubing etc. Launch is a bit tricky due to the uneven surface. If you can't get a spot at long you can go to Lake independence pretty close to long lake.

Good docks and usually catch fish too! Can get crowded on warm weekends. It also has a boat cleaning station which is nice.
Well maintained. The beach is usually clear of debris and bird poop. The swimming area is clearly marked with buoys and a floating barrier.
There are grills (away from the beach) for cooking as well as a swing set and climbing thingy for kids.
