I gladly experienced both, a morning and evening Ganga Aarti during my visit to babughat kolkata. This holy ritual is absolutely wonderful and moving to experience. I highly recommend every visitor to this holy city to witness a Ganga Aarti.
The ghat is nearby the Eden gardens railway station. Since last few months Ganga arati is being arranged by Kolkata police and port trust together. Though it's not the first of its kind in India or Kolkata,it is being seen and enjoyed by the kolkatans with great enthusiasm. The ghat as the name suggests, is used for immersion of the idols of Hindu deities. A lot of interstate buses start from near this ghat. A must visit if you are in Kolkata for the first time đ

It's an amazing experience especially in the evening when you enjoy the beautiful soothing breeze of the river. Ferry rates are very reasonable. Also, you can enjoy the boundless beauty of the Ganga, as well as the glowing lights bodering the sides.
A section of ghat originally meant for bathing of ladies has turned into a garbage point now. Even so, the ghat is bustling with crowds since morning till late evening with people who use it for bathing, puja, religious ceremonies, massage and leisure.
