Sabor a Lisboa

Authentic local restaurant rich with flavors. We were a group of 6. We started by ordering a local white wine presented in a cane (which appears to be better than many commercial wine bottles).
To start with appetizers, we ordered cured cheese with some garlic bread. The cheese was super delicious. We added the appetizer of the day which was octopus with garlic and lemon and olive oil. The taste was phenomenal. And we ordered fish paella (it is written that the portion comes for 2 persons but actually it can feed 3 at least); excellent taste as well.
Regarding main dishes, we chose several dishes of their familiar codfish and all of them were super tasty as well. The one in the picture was codfish with garlic and lemon oil, with baked potatoes and spinach.
The guy was kind and helpful as well.
I recommend this place if you are searching for a local and rich taste :)

The food is so good. We came so early for dinner, like around 6 pm. There is no one inside. The waitresses are cute and explain the dishes in detail.

Cod in the cod house special was way too salty and the shrimp were very overcooked. The service was very subpar (seemed like the waiters got distracted a lot and rarely attended our table). Vegetable soup also had close to no flavor and seemed like just blended vegetables/potatoes, resulting in a grainy texture. Can’t recommend any of the dishes I had

Très bon restaurant. Les portions sont copieuses. La cuisine est venu bonne. On voulait manger quelque chose de la cuisine traditionnelle portugaise, on était pas déçus. Les serveurs sont vraiment aimables et à l'écoute. À recommander

Enjoyed this quaint place on a small side street. The service was absolutely wonderful! The folks working were great! The food was good! The shrimp appetizers were delicious! I highly recommend them! The vegetable soup was good too! The paella was ok and bigger than expected! I would without a doubt recommend this place! The place has about 10-15 tables so it’s not a pig place. Go early or be ready to wait but it does go fast! Check them out! Yeah bring cash!

Super restaurant avec cuisine portugaise typique. Très bon rapport qualité prix, les plats sont excellents. Accueil chaleureux et sympathique avec du personnel qui parle notre langue. Bonnes explications des plats et recommandations. Nous reviendrons. Obrigada!

Highlights: Excellent bacalhau, friendly and helpful service

This restaurant felt like a delicious hole in the wall place just off of Avenida da Liberdade. From trying a new soup (sopa Alentejana) to the tried and true bacalhau, we enjoyed our experience. The soup is very spiced, but tasted excellent! I would recommend this place if you are in the area. Our waiter João saw that our needs were met, and provided us information on the area.
