Nagoya Marriott Associa Hotel

Hotel was very good. Especially the buffet, which had tons of variety of food. Hotel rooms were also good. Location was directly next to the bus services and directly next to the city center JR station.

Not at all what you wound expect from an upscale Asian Marriott. Overpriced, under serviced, no accommodation for elite members. Breakfast is charged, access to the very limited hours fitness and Pool facilities are charged - and at an exorbitant rate. Hallways and common areas do not appear to be air-conditioned, particularly dreadful in the hot and humid Japanese summers. Other than the location above the train station, definitely avoid this hotel.

Elite members alert: There is no hospitality at all, let alone Japanese quality services. There is a fee, even for platinum member to bring one additional guest to the lounge AND to have the breakfast. And MIND this price: it costs you 100,00 yen to. bring one guest, which I can simply spend in a Michelin restaurant. The most RIDICULOUS part: There is a price to use their fitness center for elite members (not sure about non-members and I suspect the price is higher, or even worse, they may not let you in. The cost for entrance is 3300 yen).

The view from the restaurant is good and you can spend a wonderful time.

In preparation for requests such as sushi, it is better to arrange restaurants around the hotel.

Great location. You can go shopping around the JR Nagoya station and leave all the stuff in your room and then go for dinner again. If you have plans to travel by train, this hotel is the best choice you can just wake up and go down through the JR gate in just a few minutes.

I have used this hotel several times for business to Nagoya. Very convenient location. As a platinum member they used to have a beautiful club lounge. Now they stick all the elites with club access on an outdated elite floor. Their food selection is a joke for both cocktail time and breakfast with minimal selection as in only a few things to choose from. They used to offer a full breakfast in the lobby restaurant which was nice. Upgrades are always unimpressive. Nice gym facilities. I will stick with the Nagoya Crown Plaza going forward.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The location is amazing, literally above Nagoya Station, extremely convenient with malls, restaurants and transportation within minutes after getting out of the hotel. We managed to check in early, got an upgraded room with lounge access. The room that we had was spacious, modern and clean on a high floor. The service staff was very helpful and courteous. Would definitely stay here again if we are in Nagoya.
