I think it's especially sick & cruel to harass persons in need (seen it happen to someone who used to be involved in activism) personally I couldn't YELL or curse or try to intimidate or tamper with anyone's food especially because you nvr know how that individual could react!! This place USED to be nice & professional & I've seen some very troubling toxic behavior a couple of the Men especially this one Spanish dude who Ill assume is a bigoted volunteer is especially nasty towards black females who go there for food

I've been going to St James' for the food pantry and an occasional hot meal when necessary. The people are USUALLY in great spirits and seem to genuinely want to help. But, everybody has their off days! The worst I've seen there was actually due to the behavior of the people waiting on line. Great organization!

Don’t be fooled they use the people in the community for donations and then treat us like trash! I seen them call a woman in need of Christmas toys a out of her name and she left in tears told a mother of several children to stop going up there for food and go home and cook for kids, read their google reviews. They use the community in need to fund their own personal life! I can’t wait til what they’re doing come to light

It amazes me how people can choose to work in a field they hate and be rude to customers. It just blows my mind. Why would you work in a field providing social services to people if you’re going to be rude and nasty when speaking to customers. The director of this program in particular is who I am speaking of. Having no patience when speaking to customers and is extremely rude. It’s disgusting.

I am very glad we have dedicated peoples
servicing the community. There is a real need in our community for these services the peoples received. This is what our God wants us to do for one another. 🙏

The first time I went the volunteers were very helpful and understanding. They saw my family size on my application and gave enough food for all of us. The second time I went the guy who I guess was the lead volunteer gave us 2 small bags that was not enough it looked more like for a family of 2 while I am grateful for anything he told me I have to tell him I need for a large family. I filled out an application so I dont understand why he didnt read it like the others did before like you're supposed to. What's the point of having us fill out an application each time and you dont look at it. Like I said I am grateful for whatever we can get because the last week of the month can be tight but the staff need to do their job all the time not some of the time.

This place is a true blessing from God. The people here are very helpful, respectful and professional. I personally dealt with Mr Kendall with a situation I had and he gave me more advice and knowledge of my options than the court or a lawyer I consulted with did. I would recommend this organization to anyone that needs emergency assistance. 👍👍
