Beautiful natural place to visit with family and enjoy on the spot BBQ

It is a man made artifical lake with real lotus flowers located beside museum of Natural History at Shakarparian park, Islamabad. It is approximately at a drive of 05 mins from zero point. Today I visited this place after 20 yrs. There used to be a natural lotus lake at that time but it was at a hike of 10 mins. Now that area is cordoned off. However this place is good for picnic as there is a park with benches, restrooms and BBQ tables with water taps. There is no tuck shop inside the lotus park. Wheelchair is accessible. Entrance and Parking is free.

Lotus mini lake is located within the Lotus Park Islamabad. It is adjacent to the vintage old masjid rajgaan. Lotus mini lake has a scenic view. The place is surrounded by natural beauty forest trees. There is picnic spots around there for the families to enjoy with canopy sittings and barbeque setups. Different scenes could be viewed there in different weathers. This park is not much crowded as compared to the other places near by. Also the environment is also very cool and calm.
