Very pretty dock to see, especially first thing in the morning!
This docks gives beautiful views of horseshoe bay . Its public access dock . It has a rescue team house at the end of the dock . Its got a couple of benches to sit on . Sometimes seals 🦭 are visible from here too .
There is just about zero short term moorage at the government wharf. We wanted to tie up our sailboat with a 5 ft keel and spend an hour at the local pub. They have maybe 1 spot out of the 3 fully used slips that would fit. The rest is no parking, water taxi use only Please find more slips. Seqll has only a couple of temp slips. Also unavailable.
so good. so quiet. view is breath taking.
Look at the view. If you need more, take a ferry or a boat and sail in the sea.
If you need to get to Gambier Island, this is where you’re pickup by the local water taxi service. Nice place to watch the BC Ferries coming in and out. You may see the odd seal.
Horseshoe Bay is located in the north-west border of West Vancouver around 44 km (28 miles) south of Squamish at the start of the 'Sea-to-Sky' Hwy 99.
