Nice little spot to visit, especially in the winter when there's lots of ice buildup.

Very cool spot to enjoy nature and the sound of rushing water. The old log chute is awesome to look at and there's a few trails that seem nice for hiking.

A good place to stop by if you are near and whether is good. There are a few trails nearby too if you don't feel being challenged enough.

This was just amazing. To see the power that water builds up sooooo quickly. Just nuts. And afterwards if you're athletic there's a 5km trail just across the river. To Lake Kenesis. Way too steep for me.
But I spent half an hour at the chute, I couldn't stop marveling at it! 😁
There's a little info pavilion (the same info you'll see if you look online), a couple of picnic tables and a drop toilet.
Really good way to see the beginning of the journey wood takes from the forest to the sawmill.

This is a beautiful place to spend time enjoying nature and learning about the logging history of the Haliburton area. Hiking trails for the energetic, and picnic areas to relax and enjoy a meal amidst the roar of the water sluicing its way down the chute. Free parking is a short stroll away.

A great piece of history. There's a dam with a viewing platform where you can see the chute. There are lots of trails in the area as well. Washrooms are also available. You can even have a picnic at one of the picnic tables.
It's a must see if you're in the area!

History was made here long time ago. I have been coming here for the past 3 years and to be honest this place is magical and I can see myself coming here many times during each season because there are so many different photo opportunities! The Chute is very old, the park is well kept and even has an outhouse! This place is great for relaxing and listening to nature, don't forget to do the hiking trail, if you bring your little ones be very mindful of their surroundings stay in the path and wear proper hiking shoes, bring water and snacks, please don't litter! Parking is just down the road and after you visit the chute don't forget to drive 5 minutes up the road to visit gorgeous Hawk Lake.
